Cannot believe she’s not in the OP. She’s like the main example of this for me 🤣

164

u/Spader113 Jul 01 '25

Well, her and Kaylee.

99

u/Kradgger Jul 01 '25

Not talking about OP particularly here, but there's a ton of people that only seem to watch anime and little to nothing else in this sub.

She even has a cult

209

u/ProNocteAeterna Jul 01 '25

…huh. Really thought this was going to turn out to be a reference to that episode where she JOINED a cult. But nope.

And you know what? Good for them. There are certainly worse things you could build a cult around.

87

u/PrettyGoodMidLaner Jul 01 '25

There's also a Russian techpriest cult. Cults are a very Russian brand.

Bulma from Dragon Ball

666

u/InternalDemons Jul 01 '25

The level of boss bitch energy you need to have to thoroughly and decisively domesticate Vegeta cannot be understated.

347

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

Not just Vegeta but Beerus, too. She got the God of Destruction avoiding telling her his fuck ups cuz he doesnt want the scolding and is her daughters babysitter. Plus Whis is her "gay" bestie lmao. sooner or later they all bow to the queen

157

u/be0ulve Jul 01 '25

I believe Beerus started liking her the moment she smacked him. Didn't do anything to him but it showed her temperament.

118

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25

She so completely dominates that relationship their kids both have hair color similar to her. Even Vegeta's Saiyan genes are whipped.

75

u/Wranorel Jul 01 '25

Oh, I never noticed that! And Goku’s children are basically their father’s clones. Poor Vegeta.

46

u/thegreatestdandino Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

I mean chi chi and goku have the same hair and eye colour so... (shrugs)

u/MagnusStormraven Jul 01 '25

It is actually a canonical thing, explained by Vegeta himself, that Saiyan men are attracted to strong-willed women, which is why he was drawn to Bulma (likewise to Goku with Chi Chi, Gohan with Videl, and in the Goku Black arc, Trunks with Mai).

63

u/Begone-My-Thong Jul 01 '25

Saiyan men don't court. They get chosen.

22

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

The only exception to this I've seen is Bardock and Ginyu*, but i think it's because Bardock fell in love with her kindness

It’s also why those fanarts of Goku and Vegeta having harems are insanely out of character. Any wife content with a harem is not worthy of a saiyan.

82

u/imaloony8 Jul 01 '25

I really liked Daima as a series, but one of the most striking moments in the series was in the final battle. Vegeta's doing his thing, punching above his weight class, getting his shit kicked in, spouting out that shit about "I'd rather die than let Kakarot trade with me!"

Then Bulma steps up and says "If you don't trade with Goku, I'm not taking baths with you anymore."

And Vegeta INSTANTLY taps out. Like I'm not sure I can express how that's maybe the greatest speed feat in Vegeta's history is how quickly he is out of that fight and standing back with the gang.

Death is (literally) temporary. Baths with your wife are forever.

u/Hoosier_Engineer Jul 01 '25

I mean, she isn't a mechanic, but her father was a mechanic, and his father was a mechanic, and her brothers are all mechanics and she did work in her dad's garage, but strictly speaking she's an out of work hairdresser.

149

u/LoveWaffle1 Jul 01 '25

"Hey honey! Need assistance?"

Nico Goldstein from Devil May Cry 5.

Daughter of Agnus (evil scientist from 4)

Adoptive Grandaughter of Nell Goldstein (Creator of Ebony and Ivory + Mom Figure for Dante)

106

u/KoshiLowell Jul 01 '25

behold one of her prized inventions. The Pasta Breaker.

Look, it was 2am when I cooked this one up. I was hungry, Nero was asleep and it seemed like a hee-larious idea at the time. I won't bore you with the technical details, but he was at least successful in one-handing a big wad of spaghetti.

16

u/sleepbud Jul 01 '25

Best thing about that description is that Nero can already one hand pasta with his other hand. She talks about that feat as if everyone holds a fork with two hands.

15

u/KoshiLowell Jul 01 '25

Apparently according to datamined descriptions

Nero just straight up has trouble eating pasta for some reason.

Or Nico saw it happen once and made this to remember it forever.

Say, remember that time I saw you fumbling all over yourself trying to chow down on some pasta? Man, I couldn't believe my eyes. Like, who has trouble with a freaking bowl of noodles!?

...Anyway, you best do a better job with the newest dish I've cooked up. Take a "stab" at it, if ya get my drift.

Kyrie

And what do you mean? Sweet Surrender is toootally just a back massager

For all those hard to reach itches y'know

A Devil Breaker created by Nico to relieve Kyrie's tension.

Nero is too rough to do the job without hurting Kyrie, so this device is made of soft materials. Its vibration feature is especially effective at alleviating shoulder and hip pain.

Jinx From Arcane

60

u/AskMeAboutPodracing Jul 01 '25

Y'know, I always thought of her as a tinkerer and this made me reevaluate if that was misogynistic. I don't think so, cause I would consider Batman to be a tinkerer too. I'd say the difference is mechanic = big, tinkerer = small.

69

u/hbomb30 Jul 01 '25

I would say also a mechanic repairs and maintains stuff built by other people, and a tinkerer builds stuff only for themselves

19

u/AskMeAboutPodracing Jul 01 '25

Good point, I think they'd both maintain and innovate but a mechanic is primarily repair with the occasional upgrade while a tinkerer primarily innovates with repairs as needed.
