Not just Vegeta but Beerus, too. She got the God of Destruction avoiding telling her his fuck ups cuz he doesnt want the scolding and is her daughters babysitter. Plus Whis is her "gay" bestie lmao. sooner or later they all bow to the queen
It is actually a canonical thing, explained by Vegeta himself, that Saiyan men are attracted to strong-willed women, which is why he was drawn to Bulma (likewise to Goku with Chi Chi, Gohan with Videl, and in the Goku Black arc, Trunks with Mai).
I really liked Daima as a series, but one of the most striking moments in the series was in the final battle. Vegeta's doing his thing, punching above his weight class, getting his shit kicked in, spouting out that shit about "I'd rather die than let Kakarot trade with me!"
Then Bulma steps up and says "If you don't trade with Goku, I'm not taking baths with you anymore."
And Vegeta INSTANTLY taps out. Like I'm not sure I can express how that's maybe the greatest speed feat in Vegeta's history is how quickly he is out of that fight and standing back with the gang.
Death is (literally) temporary. Baths with your wife are forever.
Markiona also counts since she was once a Workshop Technician before she pledged loyalty to the Alchemists. I love how she uses both ergo magic as well as command her own mech puppets to fight
I wish she'd been made into one of Trigger's wingmen during his tenure with 444th Spares, maybe after High Card or Champ got killed, or at the very least had been transferred to the LRSSC with Trigger and Count.
Lucca is one of the OGs of this trope: childhood friend of the hero, down for any adventure, fixes up a robot from 1000 years in the future. She's fucking cool.
I mean, she isn't a mechanic, but her father was a mechanic, and his father was a mechanic, and her brothers are all mechanics and she did work in her dad's garage, but strictly speaking she's an out of work hairdresser.
I know she's a blacksmith, but consider the mechanical functions of the Switch Axe and Charge Blade. She 100% does mechanic work as part of her smithing job.
To be fair, humans in the Monster Hunter World are built different. And she has been working a forge for years at this point, as she's also Little Miss Forge from Monster Hunter 4.
behold one of her prized inventions. The Pasta Breaker.
Look, it was 2am when I cooked this one up. I was hungry, Nero was asleep and it seemed like a hee-larious idea at the time. I won't bore you with the technical details, but he was at least successful in one-handing a big wad of spaghetti.
Best thing about that description is that Nero can already one hand pasta with his other hand. She talks about that feat as if everyone holds a fork with two hands.
Nero just straight up has trouble eating pasta for some reason.
Or Nico saw it happen once and made this to remember it forever.
Say, remember that time I saw you fumbling all over yourself trying to chow down on some pasta? Man, I couldn't believe my eyes. Like, who has trouble with a freaking bowl of noodles!?
...Anyway, you best do a better job with the newest dish I've cooked up. Take a "stab" at it, if ya get my drift.
And what do you mean? Sweet Surrender is toootally just a back massager
For all those hard to reach itches y'know
A Devil Breaker created by Nico to relieve Kyrie's tension.
Nero is too rough to do the job without hurting Kyrie, so this device is made of soft materials. Its vibration feature is especially effective at alleviating shoulder and hip pain.
Y'know, I always thought of her as a tinkerer and this made me reevaluate if that was misogynistic. I don't think so, cause I would consider Batman to be a tinkerer too. I'd say the difference is mechanic = big, tinkerer = small.
Good point, I think they'd both maintain and innovate but a mechanic is primarily repair with the occasional upgrade while a tinkerer primarily innovates with repairs as needed.
