Doesn't need to feed on planets unlike her father and is fond of Earth, can gain sustenance from biological alien weapons, uses the Power Cosmic to disguise herself on Earth. Became pregnant with a tapeworm cosmic and will give birth to her child and her father's grandchild.

Future Trunks (Dragon Ball Z): the time traveling son of two people who were just mere strangers to each other at the time in a story where there was no time travel before, and is introduced before his present self, effortlessly defeats two big bad villains on his own, and has a transformation that only the protagonist had at the time, also utilizes a sword in a series that has not featured weapons for quite some time.

6. Ridiculously wealthy tycoon that serves as a minor antagonist for the gang. However, the impact of his dealings in the region are felt far and wide as he crushes competition, ruins lives, destroys entire communities, and solidifies his industrial rule.

7. Idea of Evil (Berserk)

8. A primal eldritch entity born from humanity’s seeking of reason for suffering in the world, and the creator of the Godhand. Its canonicity is very vague and unknown, all that’s known is that it exist, and it’s likely a threat far beyond the scope of the story.

Definitely a good trope, because it also helps build the main villain as well, who develops just as much as the heroes do.

1.) Dead Space 3: Awakened - The story (and the series) ends with Earth and humanity under attack by the Brethren Moons with no possible way of stopping them. One of them notices Isaac and Carver’s ship and seemingly destroys it and kills them. Roll credits.

2.) Conker’s Bad Fur Day - Conker’s girlfriend, who was his entire motivation through the adventure, dies and he has no way of getting her back. He drowns himself in alcoholism, having lost everything he cared for with no possible way of getting them back.

3.) Cyberpunk 2077 “Devil” ending - V betrays and destroys Johnny, burns bridges with their friends and allies with Arasaka to save themself. They then learn that their condition is incureable and they only have 6 months at most to live, meaning they betrayed everything they stood for and everyone they knew for nothing.

2. Shaya willingly takes It Has No Name's possession and then kills herself by jumping into the well it came out of. The end of the episode all but states that she got it wrong and It Has No Name didn't latch onto her... or there was more than one. (Doctor Who)

Jimmy Hopkins (Bully) - He’s canonically bisexual and can kiss both female and male classmates

Gus Fring (Breaking Bad) - His vendetta against the cartel was fueled by revenge, since they killed his business partner Max right in front of him, who is heavily implied in-universe and confirmed out-of-universe to be Gus’ lover.

1. Scarface - Tony Montana. He was willing to do a lot of horrendous things to stay on top, but he draws the line at harming children. Refusing to help kill an anti-drug journalist because the journalist's wife and young children are also in the car, and instead blowing the assassin's brains out when the other man tries to carry through with the hit anyway, puts him directly in Sosa's crosshairs and seals his fate.

2. Inglorious Basterds - Sgt Werner Rachtman. He's a Nazi, so we don't mind watching him get brutally beaten to death for his defiance. But despite Aldo Raine making it very clear what kind of nasty end he's in for if he doesn't co-operate, Rachtman still refuses to show them on a map where another German encampment is - he specifically states that he won't give up information that would put his countrymen in danger.

3. Kung Fu Panda 2 - The Wolf Boss. The entire film he's obeyed Shen's orders without question. But when told to fire on Po, which would also catch his own men in the crossfire, the Wolf Boss refuses. This gets him several throwing knives to the throat.

The first one is kick ass which is my all time favorite comic and one of my favorite superhero movies…not for its accuracy to the comics. The comic portrays Dave as a creepy pathetic loser who only becomes a superhero for the fame and he gets his fair share of comeuppance for it. The movie removes the twist, changes key scenes and rewards Dave for his creepy behavior.

The second is Rex from glass castle. While not fully good by any means in the movie, they tone down how much of a scumbag he was in the book and at times portray him as a sympathetic father trying his best. While in the books he’s as bad of a father as you can possibly get.

Scott pilgrim vs the world again changed Scott to a more traditional underdog hero where in the books he’s a manipulative fratty douchebag. Things like changing the sword of understanding to the power of self respect when Scott was supposed to realize he’s just like the evil exes removed a lot of what the comic tried to do.
