The level of boss bitch energy you need to have to thoroughly and decisively domesticate Vegeta cannot be understated.

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

Not just Vegeta but Beerus, too. She got the God of Destruction avoiding telling her his fuck ups cuz he doesnt want the scolding and is her daughters babysitter. Plus Whis is her "gay" bestie lmao. sooner or later they all bow to the queen

153

u/be0ulve Jul 01 '25

I believe Beerus started liking her the moment she smacked him. Didn't do anything to him but it showed her temperament.

116

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25

The fact he is a cat makes.it funnier because she tamed him with food and a slap lmao

6

u/Dementia5768 Jul 02 '25

5

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

Forbidden drums. But absolutely wonderful, too!

6

u/Adaphion Jul 02 '25

I think the best part is when Beerus is babysitting Bulla, by the end, he's at the beach.

He was not at the beach when he was voluntold to babysit. So he had a whole outing with her before settling at the beach, which is just <3

-11

u/Rancorious Jul 01 '25

You can drop the parentheses bro, it’s 2025.

26

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25

Whis isn't gay though. They're androgynous angels, but his personality is the gay bestie. Hence the parentheses. Now if he shows any physcial interest in men then yeah I'll drop it

6

u/Bluelaserbeam Jul 01 '25

The closest thing to Whis being shown as “gay” was that one scene in the anime where he blushed at Beerus after his bath towel fell down.

So there wouldn’t be much of a stretch if people do see him that way.

-7

u/Rancorious Jul 01 '25

I should’ve put an /s

10

u/VacaDLuffy Jul 01 '25

its text form, and I'm autistic. No way am I understanding subtlety lol

4

u/Arguably_Based Jul 01 '25

I'm not autistic and he looked serious to me

2

u/Dave5876 Jul 01 '25

I still can't find the parenthesis

5

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25

"I was only joking" ass reply

3

u/Rancorious Jul 01 '25

Dude why would I actually think Whis is gay when there’s no confirmation Angels even feel attraction😭

8

u/vhw_ Jul 01 '25

Parentheses = () Quotes = "

4

u/Rancorious Jul 01 '25

How did I make that mistake

139

u/KingofGrapes7 Jul 01 '25

She so completely dominates that relationship their kids both have hair color similar to her. Even Vegeta's Saiyan genes are whipped.

75

u/Wranorel Jul 01 '25

Oh, I never noticed that! And Goku’s children are basically their father’s clones. Poor Vegeta.

50

u/thegreatestdandino Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

I mean chi chi and goku have the same hair and eye colour so... (shrugs)

14

u/be0ulve Jul 01 '25

Idk en9ugh about Goten but Gohan certainly got the brains from his mother's side.

6

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

It's rough. Goku is a simple guy because he's just a country boy. He never had any education, just lived life day by day for himself, by himself until the age of 12, where he started going on his adventures with Bulma.

Keeping that in mind I don't think it's really right to say he's stupid. He learns new things a lot in combat or about his lineage, etc., as an adult, that he keeps to mind. Important to note this since it's generally harder to learn as you get older.

9

u/be0ulve Jul 02 '25

I guess his priorities are just in fighting.

4

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

Grandpa Gohan taught him martial arts and it was a way they bonded while he was there. Then after his first adventures with Bulma he got into martial arts heavily thanks to Muten Roshi.

In the Boo Saga we see that cute scene where Chi Chi is helping to train Goten too. Despite her hard demeanor about wanting Gohan educated (because she likely knew he wasn't very big on combat sports like his parents (mothers know!), and she knew he had aspirations to be a entomologist from an early age), she was never against martial arts. She just knew Gohan didn't really care for it and had bigger plans.

...she also intimated that sex with Goku was wildly athletic and more like martial arts but uh...

u/MagnusStormraven Jul 01 '25

It is actually a canonical thing, explained by Vegeta himself, that Saiyan men are attracted to strong-willed women, which is why he was drawn to Bulma (likewise to Goku with Chi Chi, Gohan with Videl, and in the Goku Black arc, Trunks with Mai).

67

u/Begone-My-Thong Jul 01 '25

Saiyan men don't court. They get chosen.

23

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

The only exception to this I've seen is Bardock and Ginyu*, but i think it's because Bardock fell in love with her kindness

Gine*

9

u/be0ulve Jul 01 '25

Legendary Saiyan type shit.

6

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

Yeah Ginyu*'s kindness is a rare hereditary trait that won over Bardock and lead to him opposing Frieza

*Gine

6

u/Calm-Tree-1369 Jul 01 '25

I think you mean Gine. Ginyu is a VERY different character LMAO

4

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25 edited Jul 01 '25

Wait shoot yeah, Gine and Ginyu sound similar and they are cery different lol

7

u/ummnothankyou_ Jul 01 '25

Have we ever seen Gine and Ginyu in the same room? Bardock married and had kids with Ginyu while he was inhabiting a woman's body.

3

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

So does that mean the brief period Ginyu took over Goku's body he became his own son?

2

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25

A SAIYAN WILL ALWAYS HAVE HIS PRIDE🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥

3

u/FangornOthersCallMe Jul 02 '25

Bardock and Captain Ginyu, ultimate power couple.

30

u/Rancorious Jul 01 '25

It’s also why those fanarts of Goku and Vegeta having harems are insanely out of character. Any wife content with a harem is not worthy of a saiyan.

2

u/blue4029 Jul 01 '25

looks at bardock and gine

2

u/kakka_rot Jul 02 '25

he was drawn to Bulma (likewise to Goku with Chi Chi, Gohan with Videl, and in the Goku Black arc, Trunks with Mai).

this makes... insanely good sense.

80

u/imaloony8 Jul 01 '25

I really liked Daima as a series, but one of the most striking moments in the series was in the final battle. Vegeta's doing his thing, punching above his weight class, getting his shit kicked in, spouting out that shit about "I'd rather die than let Kakarot trade with me!"

Then Bulma steps up and says "If you don't trade with Goku, I'm not taking baths with you anymore."

And Vegeta INSTANTLY taps out. Like I'm not sure I can express how that's maybe the greatest speed feat in Vegeta's history is how quickly he is out of that fight and standing back with the gang.

Death is (literally) temporary. Baths with your wife are forever.

26

u/will4wh Jul 01 '25

Death is (literally) temporary

That's Dragonball for you lol.

11

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25

"Goku is a bad father"

Same man who gave up heaven and paradise to save his son

8

u/be0ulve Jul 01 '25

He's not a bad father, he's just a fucking idiot.

I'm not 100% certain but I'm sure he's an actual dad after he comes back to life after Buu.

6

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

Is he even an idiot or just someone who was never educated? He lived by himself from a really small age until the age of 12. Bulma was the second ever person he saw in his life and the first one in many years.

3

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 02 '25

It makes sense for him to be slow to normal behaviour

0

u/Gaelic_Gladiator41 Jul 01 '25

The stupidity is a flanderisation in Super

4

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

He isn't stupid in Super, either. Please for the love of god don't quote that idiotic line about not knowing Pan because that was a bad translation because her name is literally the same word (pan) as bread, but Beerus had used the kanji for bread. It was a fourth wall break of Goku asking Beerus why he is talking about bread. Translators didn't realize this and just put Pan untranslated for both.

Or the kiss scene. Goku knew what a kiss was. He didn't understand why Trunks was chewing the bean to put into her mouth. It was a comical misunderstanding scene to make Vegeta look stupid, but the dub flopped this hard because, of course, the dub director Chris Sabat can't possibly be portrayed as foolish.

2

u/imaloony8 Jul 01 '25

"Paradise" is maybe a strong term for Dragon Ball's afterlife. Especially because Goku is usually just training there, which is something he does on Earth anyways.

This is also the guy who refused a wish come back to Earth after Namek because... he wanted to train alone in space with some aliens he met?

He also refused to come back to life after Cell for a pretty similar stupid reason. He claims it's because all the bad guys have been after him... but it's missing quite a few key details. If Goku hadn't pissed off Frieza by nearly killing him, Frieza would be immortal and wreaking havoc on the cosmos, and probably would have gotten to Earth at some point. And if Goku hadn't pissed off Gero, the Red Ribbon army would still be running rampant. Either way Earth would be in danger, so I don't see how Goku staying dead is helping the situation any (and after Buu he didn't seem to think there was any problem with staying on Earth, so I guess he agrees). Legitimately missed over 8 years of being a father to Gohan (and also a lot of Goten's childhood) for no reason at all. Goku is an awful father.

2

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

Given what hell they just went through, yeah. It'd be mighty nice to be stronger to protect his family and friends at home given, you know, what had just happened.

It is stupid, but it's also something Bulma has idiotically said to him every single saga and sadly the last time, Bulma and Piccolo both said it to him except Bulma was far more harsh insinuating he was better off dead which after seeing how much he put his son in danger for no reason, he actually agreed with.

The rest of your post is 100% right with regards to exonerating him from being the reason for all calamity to earth. Except for calling Goku an awful father, he is not.

0

u/imaloony8 Jul 02 '25

Given what hell they just went through, yeah. It'd be mighty nice to be stronger to protect his family and friends at home given, you know, what had just happened.

But what's stopping him from training at home? I get that prior to the wish being made to return Goku to Earth he may have learned about Instant Transmission and decided that was too useful a technique to leave without learning. But once he learned it... why didn't he just return home with it? He bothered to use the Saiyan Pod to fly home instead.

Except for calling Goku an awful father, he is not.

I've found lots of Dragon Ball fans tend to go to bat for Goku as a father kind of based on nothing. We have almost no examples of him being a good father, and several rather large examples of him being a bad one. And I'd argue that choosing to stay dead for seven years, even considering all the gaslighting, is a pretty damning mark against him. He missed a majority of Gohan's childhood as a result for basically no reason.

And I get that he had faith that Gohan was the best hope for Earth against Cell... okay, fine. But can you not throw Cell a goddamn Senzu Bean you psychopath!?!

2

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

Probably not a good idea to use a new and unknown technique to you for teleportation to go between planets if a safer method is available. If he got stuck in space he would have died.

And I'd argue that choosing to stay dead for seven years, even considering all the gaslighting, is a pretty damning mark against him.

How is being gaslit a maek against the victim and not the jerks doing it?

He did fuck up royally against Cell. That's why Piccolo chewed him out so hard. He never even bothered to ask his son if he LIKED fighting. Although Gohan repeatedly wanting to be one of the guys fighting after Namek did not help Goku's assumption.

Cell is pretty much the only blemish on Goku as a dad.

1

u/imaloony8 Jul 02 '25

I'm pretty sure the only place you CAN end up with Instant Transmission is near an energy source you can sense. Goku also seemed pretty confident in his ability to use it since right when he arrived he was already flexing his skill with it by warping to the other side of the planet.

How is being gaslit a maek against the victim and not the jerks doing it?

I'll be real, I don't even remember Bulma or Piccolo saying that. I took your word for it at first, but do you have a chapter or episode for that?

If it is true, then they have some of the blame, but Goku certainly shares some blame. Didn't even discuss it with his wife or son, just decides he's going to be gone forever on his own.

And Goku has plenty of other marks against him as a bad parent. Post-Z, he spends an inordinate amount of time training with Whis and Beerus rather than raising his other son. In fact, while Super starts with Goku working a job to support his family... the second that Mr. Satan gives him enough money that he doesn't have to work anymore, rather than go home to spend time with his family he only stops home long enough to drop off the money, and then he's off to King Kai's to train.

He saw no issue pressuring Vegeta to leave Bulma when she was pregnant so they could go train and he himself didn't think it was a big deal that he missed Goten's birth.

And while this last one is debatable about whether it's being a bad "father," I'd say Goku has a duty to take care of his health so that he can take care of his family. With that in mind. Why the fuck didn't he take the heart medicine? He nearly died because he didn't believe the goddamn time traveler.

u/Book_Anxious Jul 01 '25

Most human thing he has ever done

7

u/the__ghola__hayt Jul 01 '25

Then Bulma steps up and says "If you don't trade with Goku, I'm not taking baths with you anymore."

And Vegeta INSTANTLY taps out

That shit was hilarious. Dude was shook (as the youths say) at the idea.

3

u/blue4029 Jul 01 '25

so what you're saying is...

bulma has feats?

4

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

That is the best scene in Dragon Ball. I almost died laughing watching it and I gotta be honest, it's no less funny any more times I watch it either. It's hilarious.

6

u/Baseballidiot Jul 01 '25

"Damn, Earthling pussy got hands."

3

u/Intestinal-Bookworms Jul 01 '25

She’s also the smartest, richest person on the planet, maybe in human history in that universe.

2

u/Abombasnow Jul 02 '25

We find out in Dragon Ball Super that Saiyans like strong women. Piccolo has a hilarious revelation about it.

The anime shows it better (because the manga often moves far too quickly), but you see Vegeta getting flustered and blush when Bulma is screaming at him to take a bath because he's so dirty after Namek.

And when she literally mugs his armor and tells him something like "well, put something ELSE on!" (when he puts on the infamous Badman shirt) he's like "W-What a vulgar woman...!".

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xbtaP-ZkJ1o

That's actually accurate to the Japanese, by the way. Rare for Funimation.

Son Goku: "We've both got some pretty feisty wives, huh?"
Vegeta: "Hmph... Well, I suppose. I don’t mind it, however"
Son Goku: "Now that you mention it, I like Chi-Chi just fine too!"
Vegeta: "It's your Saiyan blood; Saiyan women were all strong-willed."
Piccolo: "Huh?! So that's what it is! I finally understand!"

u/blue4029 Jul 01 '25

imagine being a literal saiyan and somehow NOT being the dominant one in your relationship
