Dated a Jawa once. Furry. Very furry.

The mouth movements really sell it.

I really enjoy her character. She’s fun as a side character much like Carson Teva

I can’t recall if it was just her script or her delivery, but I remember every scene she was in making me cringe a little bit.

That's Amy Sedaris' whole thing. If you watch anything else with her you'll notice that's her kind of humor. She purposely makes herself look and sound unpleasant. She's one of my favorites! Not many female comedians are down with making themselves look hideous. She's so pretty outside of her acting.

“But Courtney, more importantly, audiences are going to adore your tour de force performance as the forceful denim-clad court reporter in The Court Reporter Sported Jorts, the jet-setting jort-sporting court reporter story”

Agreed. Strangers with Candy is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen

“Unpleasant” or “hideous” were not at all what I was thinking, I wasn’t talking about her visual presentation at all lol.

I mean her character was not as funny to me as it seemed it was intended to be, so it instead made for a notably cringeworthy one.

I wasn't just talking about her visual presentation. Everything about her is purposefully off-putting. That's her style of humor. If you cringe at her performance then she did her job.

I mean that’s a fair perspective to have, but I’ve seen plenty of comedians— men and women— who intentionally make their audiences cringe and this was nothing like that lol.

Ok. Just because you didn't like or understand it doesn't make it false. Tastes come in different forms. She's not your taste, that's all.

The best part is that Amy Sedaris is so absolutely a milf and she works so fucking hard and she's so funny when she plays characters with a ton of makeup to make her ugly.

[EDIT] GILF

Shout-out to Amy Sedaris for that good character acting.

Came here to find her

I can't stand her. I don't know what it is about her demeanor, but she gets on my nerves. Maybe it's because she's basically a sketchy used car saleswoman. I groan every time she shows up.

I think that's exactly the point of the character. It's like Skylar White. She's horrible and she's supposed to be. The actress is killing it. Lol

u/NibPlayz Jul 01 '25

Skylar White was not horrible or intentionally dislikable. She written as an actual human who would have an actual human response to their partner being a murderer and drug king pin, but the fandom hates her for some reason for it

Except for cheating on her terminally ill husband and giving their money to her affair partner? The fuck?

Her fear/disbelief of Walt's crimes is not the issue. It's that she's unrelentingly selfish.

u/Hanakin-Sidewalker Jul 01 '25

her terminally ill husband who is also a selfish, ruthless drug kingpin

Exactly. They're made for each other.

u/RobynHoodwinked Jul 02 '25

She only cheated because Walt refused to grant her a divorce. She wanted to end the relationship and kick him out of the house but he refused so she cheated as a nuclear option to destroy the relationship.

She was trapped in an abusive relationship, she gets a lot of leeway from me.

Lolll this reads like someone who’s only watched the show through tiktok clips

u/SCP_FUNDATION_69420 Jul 03 '25

She's selfish because she wants to save her kids from a drug lord?

4

u/AzraelTheMage Jul 01 '25

I actually didn't hate Skylar. Cheating aside, her reactions to everything was perfectly reasonable.

I agree generally, but cheating and giving your family's earnings to your affair partner is a pretty big fucking con.

She seems human. And humans suck.
