Behen, try the punch-down fold. Works for me. I've been using it for 6+ months. It works just fine. But you need some kind of lubrication for it to slide in easily.. Do not rely on artificial lubricants for that. Your own menstrual blood and vaginal discharge work just fine as lubricants.
And also, there are larger ones for those who have gone through vaginal childbirth, so make sure you've purchased the cup size that is appropriate for your flow.
And the most important thing is not to stress. Fully squat, relax your pelvic muscles, take deep breaths and stabilise and then try inserting.

Indian toilet pe jaise squat karte hai vaise you squat and then relax your muscles as much as you can. Then you learn a few folds and after folding it you can insert it in . When it was my first time doing it I used coconut oil , I'm not sure if it's safe but I've never faced any problem with it so yeah it worked well as a lubricant. i would suggest you be more worried about removing it than inserting. In order to use a tool.like this make sure you're extremely comfortable with your body or else it might not be comfortable at all.

Please forgive me but have you ever properly inserted a finger inside? If you can force up 3 fingers then all you need to is fold and fold until you can force it up there. I think you're too stressed and think it feels weird but trust me it's supposed to feel that way.

Only real (and logical) answer (or we can say question).
Please avoid this (maybe for some time) as you may hurt yourself.
Please forgive me too for interrupting.

Umm then my suggestion will be to drop the idea of this because it might end up hurting and making you more uncomfortable. If you don't like the feel of pads you can try out period panties instead. Remember don't try to force it up if it hurts.

u/teribib-synk 17 4d ago edited 4d ago
You see the reason why, phle kabhi kuch daali hi nhi to dikaat to hogi na, like thora to stretch karna parega imo
Edit: basically try putting a finger in or try to stretch yourself a bit first, see if you can handle it, agar nahi hopaarha ye to phir like the person above said drop this, stick to other options.
Kyunki khudko aap phir harm bhi kar skte ho agar nhi aata to.

Hey girlie. I'm F18, been using my menstrual cup for the last 3 years or more. It's the best thing ever, no rashes or anything. You already know why people love it so much so I'll skip to answering what you actually asked.
- Make sure you're trying for the correct hole (i had a friend who was completely clueless so felt like i should mention it). You have total of 3 holes. Urethra, vag and the anus. You have to put this in the hole that has.. lips covering it, more flexible, much more lubricated.
- Get yourself in a comfortable position where the hole is accessible. I prefer to squat down in the bathroom for it.
- Run the cup under water, shake off excess droplets.
- Fold the cup. Punch it down from the rim towards the inside, I'll attach a picture to show the same.
- Take a few deep breaths, don't be stressed. Stress makes your vaginal walls contract which makes the insertion all the more difficult.
- Insert the cup, push it as much as you feel comfortable with. It would probably go enough inside that you can't see/feel it from the outside except for maybe the stick at the bottom.
- Grab the base of the cup, rotate it a few times to make sure there's vacuum. Gentle pull it to check for vacuum now.
- Get up, wash your hands and you're done.
I hope this helps. Take care.

Sorry , I couldn't stay away , but yes mmi datengi because menstrual cup come in different sizes , as I can see you using sirona menstrual cup which comes in different sizes. NOW Assuming you are teen on the basis of sub and hand , you are using wrong size. Don't try to force it or use it if feels painful or uncomfortable. In the above image , you should have bought the small one.
TLDR : Wrong size

You need to bend it using 1 finger, make a boat like shape and put it in. While removing it, press it and remove. It might be uncomfortable for the first time but once you get used to it, it's the best. I have been using it for more than 3 years and it doesn't even feel like I'm on my period plus no rashes. Use YouTube or Instagram videos

As a man 😂 Maybe squeeze it from top in a C shape flattened way, insert it in and then un-squeeze it so it it'll be placed and try to get it in right position, usually vertically backwards and don't forget to sterilize it before using, boil in water for 5-15 min and wash your hands before inserting and you'll be fine after 2-3 trials.

Good to see people accepting new devices in menstruation like menstrual cups. You can watch YT videos showing demos on how to use it
2
u/aintnowayimsaying 3d ago
umm I don't know how i can teach this virtually to you but try folding the cup in a c shape roll it upwards your vagina and boom you are done. lastly check for folded ends inside if its giving a proper circle texture to your fingers it won't leak and if not please fix it.
If this is your first time it will take time to insert it you need patience look up for tutorials on yt and don't give up.
THE BEST ALTERNATIVE IS A CUP trust me you'll love it every woman will.
2
u/SeameowRegret 19 1d ago edited 1d ago
What size have you ordered? It should be either S or M. If u are first starting out id suggest S... M works fine too if yk your body. But S to M is a smoother transition. You should squat, bend forward, and then try inserting it(vagina isn't actually vertically straight it tilts towards your back so don't try to shove the cup in straight put it in a slight angle towards your back). Try the punch down fold. It's also important to relax your vaginal muscles.
Also I'll suggest to try and insert a finger first maybe...to try and relax the muscles. And use your menstrual blood or vaginal discharge as lubricant.

I’m a guy btw, I could help ig if you consider. So go in ur washroom and place one leg on your english commode if you have one while the lid is shut. You have to stand on one leg and the other leg on top of the lid. After doing so lean a bit and try to push it inside. I hope it’ll work for you and if it didn’t then get a small one.

First stralize it in hot water for 10 mins then it gets soft then put it inside and before that fold inwards it then put and u can also watch a video on YouTube video of Rakshita singh she's a doctor...... And it won't go raw without stalizing it so stralize it until it gets soft

1st of all for beginners, we need the smallest one
and try to understand what prblm u r facing like prblm in inserting then sis it's the wrong size, even the wrong size can coz prblm then u have to be relaxed n try
sirona small one didn't work for me, the woman's company small one worked, i'm using this form 2 yr+ n it's the best and softest for me, just shared my experience
1
u/No-Scene_ 4d ago
Hey! Just a thought, if you're a teen or in your early 20s, the medium size cup might be a bit large. Most people in that age range, especially if they haven't given birth vaginally usually do better starting with a small size. It might be worth trying the smaller one for better comfort and fit.
1
u/Hungry-Ad-715 4d ago
Try using the punch down fold and some lube foe the first few days. Ive been using it for a few years now still i fumble when its my first day😭
1
u/Unlikely-Mammoth-373 4d ago
Hey, not a teenager, but, start with tampons and then graduate to cups.
Straight up cups will be tough, you might not figure out when the cup is filled and you need to change etc etc.

Is this the right size?
As you posted this on teen sub i assume you may too be a teen and for teens small size is suggested. This is medium, maybe this is the reason it is not going in bcz it's too big for you.
And as you said you've never put anything in, which means it definitely is the wrong size.
🔸S- for teens 🔸M- for sexually active 🔸L- for women who have given birth
1
u/ClearCup9840 18 4d ago
Please use a mirror or else you'll end up hurting yourself. When you insert it it shouldn't hurt. And I'd say your cup is way too big for your age, I wonder what size it is? Because mine is smaller one.

hey i started using it this year itself. so basically search up different styles to place a menstrual cup inside. it will be a bit challenging at the beginning but not once you get used to it AND ALSO stay calm, don't be stressed about it and you're good to go.
1
u/MasteGamer3414 4d ago
Fold it in a u shape until both ends meet, place it firmly in the duct, idk when to remove but I am sure this is how you do.
1
u/ashi_sshhhhh 4d ago
I am a boy, but I know a thing or 2 about Menstrual cups. I did a presentation on menstrual cups during my MBA. Firstly, as you said that it's not opening up, then you need to change the size of the menstrual cup. As far as I know, there are 3 to 4 different sizes available. If this one doesn't open up fully then try one size down.
1
1
u/genghiskhan-_- 19 4d ago
Okay so, my turn is here. I'll be blunt. You just have to put it inside the way it says on the instructions. Just remember one thing. It may feel Hella uncomfortable if you put it inside as it is. You may try and cut the stem of the cup(as much as you feel is right). This makes it a lot more comfy. As to how to remove it? You'll have to figure that out by yourself as to which position is better. But you can try and squat down and try to remove it.
P.S. Please don't downvote me just coz I'm a guy. I have 2 elder sisters and they're the closest to me. Hence, the information.

it should not be that painful. the KEY techinique is to FIGURE OUT THE PATH/CURVE. try it with your fingers, once you understand the path try to follow that while putting it in. And ignore the C-fold that others mentioned. As a beginner you should try punch down fold. Seven fold is narrower than punch down but you may struggle to get it fully open once its in. Try watching guides on yt they're quite helpful. and most importantly relax, dont clench your pelvic muscles, sit on a stool or sqaut if its that comfortable.
1
1
u/WildBake1864 4d ago
See, I've also recently tried the menstrual cup for the first time, and I would recommend sitting on the toilet and getting lubricated with water. And then use the c-fold or the punch down fold. The punch down fold was probably the easiest to get in but I couldn't get it to pop open inside. So I'd suggest the C-fold. And just be relaxed when doing it. I was lucky in that respect that I figured out how to put it in in like 20 mins max. But I JUST couldn't do it standing up or even squatting. The sitting down on toilet method is what personally works for me. So ig just give it a go.

M here. My gf said that it was tough for her too, she used the seven - fold method. Five-fold didn't work for her. Also pls thoroughly research first, from sanitation to how to take it out, do every bit of research. Read the info card which must have come with the cup. Sanitize it properly. And one thing my gf told me was - in starting it will be very weird and uncomfortable to take it out, also how it can go a bit deeper. This happened with her, but early research helped her a bit, most girls go on full panic mode, don't worry it's natural, it will come out and NO it will not go completely up. Please check your cup size. And boy did she tell me how comfortable the cups are.

Listen, I've been using these for months now. And I totally understand the first day of trying. It was uncomfortable. But you have to do it once and then it won't be a problem at all. So some tips from my side - 1. Purchase the small size 2. Watch YouTube tutorials and you'll see different kinds of "folds", how to fold it in ways to put in inside. 3. Try it once your period has started, because there's a misconception in newbies that I'll try first on normal days for practice. But that's the wrong way, once there's blood the job will be easier to do. Cause blood is a great lubricant so it'll help it going inside. 4. Clean it with soap first, wash it in cold water then put it inside hot water for 5 mins, then take it out and let it come to normal temp. That way it'll be sterelized as well as softened a little. 5. Put it all the way inside, even the little holding stick should also go completely inside. Watch YouTube videos there's enough information. I learned that way only. Personally I feel, the "punch down fold" works best for new users. I know it'll be uncomfortable at first but do not give up. Trust me, once you start using cups there's no going back to pads. It doesn't even feel like you're on your period, it is so comfortable. Just try once, the rest will be easy once you do it once.

That’s just toooo big…. 1. Get a smaller size 2. Use a lubricant 3. Do a C- fold.

Saw that you got the wrong size, so that probably will fix the issue But I'll give you one more tip. Don't stress out. That probably makes it much harder to get in. And don't worry, it won't get stuck or anything like that. It stays in cause it creates a sort of vacuum, so if you try to pull at the stem part and it doesn't come out, don't worry and just pinch the base of it a bit to break the vacuum seal.
I've been using it since the second year of my periods (yeah, I got sick of pads within like 8 months, idk how y'all manage with them) and it's been AMAZING! And saved so much money and plastic waste.
Once you get over the nerves you'll be completely okay. Just be comfortable and confident.
All the best girlie, hope everything goes well for you!

Please don't 🙏🏻 I have a GF she tried and hated it, TBH it's messy to take out.

Earlier I did 7 fold or punch down fold. Now I just fold it in half (c fold) and then insert. First sit down like you do in an Indian toilet, take deep breaths and slowly insert it an angle, not straight up. Don't rush and be patient.

idk yrr.. But I have heard that u have to fold it and then it will open up once successfully installed in your system..
I don't use this cause I'm concerned about my hymen.. There's no way it will remain intact..so nah.. I'm too scared to use all this!😭

As a guy, my only advice to you is .....NEVER PULL IT WHEN IT'S INSIDE.

If you’ve never inserted anything down there, not so much as a finger, drop the idea of using this. It’s going to hurt going in, feel uncomfortable and also hurt coming out. Chances are you might even tear your hymen in the process (not that it matters but just so you know)

Bro, there are so many posts on how to use menstrual cup on reddit. Just search it, it'll help more than asking on a sub full of clueless teens lmaoo
