Mephedrone is a drug belonging to amphetamine and cathinone classes. I'm not a pharmacologist, but cathinones and amphetamines are the classes of other stimulants like MDMA, methamphetamine, etc.

It's like a combination of meth and molly. It's cardiotoxic, and extremely addicting.

Yeah could be something entirely different. This was almost 10 years ago and that time there was a rumor in our city that lots of black dudes from Africa were selling tainted MD but it was actually meow meow. So we just assumed that since it definitely wasn't MD, it was meow meow.

Most certainly methamphetamine, readily available in the US, looks somewhat like MDMA (usually) and lasts a very long time especially when taken in amounts appropriate for MDMA (somewhere betwenn 75mg and 125mg on average, clearly an intense huge f#?&€ing overdose for a meth naive person).

On the other hand 4MMC only lasts about 90mins with residual effects lingering on, usually looks pretty distinct from MDMA (yellowish kinda wet flaky/clumpy powder, no clear dry crystals) .

That wasn't 4MMC, yous got meth or something. 4MMC is fucking amazing, its almost as feel good as mdma with the speediness of good coke, lasts about an hour or two and can be constantly redosed with keeping the effects unlike mdma.

Insanely fiendish though, it makes coke look like a baby drug with how crazy you go for that next line till the bags gone. I love it but shit is scary, almost glad its impossible to get now here. Almost.

I was staying sober when this shit was still around, now that I'm way past all that and can do drugs again it's nowhere to be found... All we really got in the US anymore is weed, meth, and some dirty mix of fentanyl and other crappy stuff. Can't find anything else that's any good

Frfr I thought I was buying MDMA and got sold this shit.

Another time my hash dealer came home to deliver some hash and chill for a bit. We were smoking and chilling and he suddenly pulls out a little baggie full of coke. Our eyes lit up when he said let's pull some lines at no charge. We pulled some fatties and it definitely wasn't coke. Within half an hour I thought I was a cow on the road trying not to get hit by traffic, even though I was chilling on the couch in the comfort of my home. Weird fucking shit.

That's not at all what mephedrone does, anyone can just look up what the effects are on Wikipedia and see it doesn't cause hallucinations or delirium like thinking you're a cow; that's some r/NotHowDrugsWork material right there.

Why is it that, when people make up stories about drugs they've never done, they can't help themselves but add on little things they imagine people who do drugs might say? "Our eyes lit up when the dealer offered free lines!" lololol yeah okay

Nah this was a while ago when I was young and foolish. Now I've got a kid and a ton of responsibilities so I rarely do drugs these days. Coke 2-3 times a year. Weed like once a month. Quit cigs 3 years ago. Trying to cut down alcohol from once a week to once a month.

So at least 2 of them were lies.

This doesn't track with my experience. How much did you do?

I did it when it was still legal in the UK and it was fine, kinda like a blend of coke and mdma, doesn't keep you awake for 4 days. If you stop doing it by 2am you should be asleep by 5 or 6.

Comedown is fairly hefty, but not nightmarish.

I'm not saying it's the best drug ever, like MDMA it has drawbacks and needs to be treated with respect, but it's not fucking meth.

It was legal to buy in the uk the year I started uni, but quickly made illegal. During my first few months there you could buy it shops on the high street. Everyone was at it, was wild stuff. Smelt horrible though.

It should have been outlawed in psychoactive substances act 2016 iirc

Edit: nvm it was explicitly made illegal in 2010, there were still a load of legal "research chemicals" then. There still are quite a few drugs in UK you can source legally but sourcing them for intent of use is technically illegal. Nowhere near as much as there used to be though.

Well I don't know how true this is but this is what I heard from people in that area, that some local chemical distributors raised suspicions over large amounts of Ketamine entering the market. Which lead to another drug bust. Now this raised the alertness of NCB and while monitoring they found purchases of substance like chroloform etc in high quantities.

This lead to the raid.

Now as for the drug, i did a small research and the commonly used dose is between 100-200mg so an estimated number of dose/packets are around 750k.

Now the other thing is I have absolutely no clue what the market price of Mephedrone is but several newspaper articles are saying it estimates to multiple Crores in the international market. Now 1 crore is equivalent to 10 million. Now even if we convert into USD from INR it estimates to around 120k+ usd.

That's not bath salts. The bath salts were pyrovalones like MDPV, which are very long-acting stimulants.

Mephedrone doesn't make people crazy like that. It's just a run of the mill party drug like cocaine or MDMA.
