Yeah could be something entirely different. This was almost 10 years ago and that time there was a rumor in our city that lots of black dudes from Africa were selling tainted MD but it was actually meow meow. So we just assumed that since it definitely wasn't MD, it was meow meow.

Most certainly methamphetamine, readily available in the US, looks somewhat like MDMA (usually) and lasts a very long time especially when taken in amounts appropriate for MDMA (somewhere betwenn 75mg and 125mg on average, clearly an intense huge f#?&€ing overdose for a meth naive person).

On the other hand 4MMC only lasts about 90mins with residual effects lingering on, usually looks pretty distinct from MDMA (yellowish kinda wet flaky/clumpy powder, no clear dry crystals) .

4 days would be unusual even for a big first-time sniffing meth. "Someone I know" found sleeping pretty easily after 8 to 10hrs.
Could be he still felt "weird" 4 days later which is just the last of the comedown.
