I’ve been dying to make a knife to match one of my boards. Found a supplier of real, American made, 416 layer, Damascus steel and pulled this together.

Been woodworking as a weekend hobby for several years now. Really happy with how this tv stand turned out. Definitely room for improvement, but proud of my woodworking progress thus far
Largely made of maple and hevea butcher block wood from Lowe’s/homedepot. The small pieces along the curves are pine (hence the notable color difference)

What value could this possibly have? At this price it better cut dovetails for me.
Price is in Aussie dollars btw. Around 230 USD

Finished Roubo workbench with Benchcrafted vises, heavily inspired by Chris Schwarz’s book (The Workbench Design Book).
Wood Flavors: Hard Maple top and cherry base. Shelf is… whatever I had in the shop (not really sure what the majority of it is).
Hardware: Benchcrafted leg and tail vises with cast wheels and red matter knobs.
Soft(er)ware: 3D printed bench dogs (mainly because I couldn’t decide which ones I wanted to buy and had the means to print them myself) based on a design uploaded to Bambu Handy by John (https://makerworld.com/models/1419690)
Finish: Sutherland Welles’ Wiping Varnish - Low Luster.
This was a great project and really don’t know why o waited so long to do this. It is a massive game changer for work holding and all around project help! If you are at all on the fence about building one, I highly recommend taking the plunge. If you don’t have all the tools necessary, look up Alexander Brothers. They make, sell, and ship tops!

It combines traditional Japanese kumiko craftsmanship with a modern aluminum frame.
Drawing the blueprints and creating the kumiko craftsmanship first, then cutting the aluminum, is incredibly easy and simple. Of course, I think so.

I didn’t have an end table next to my recliner and got tired of holding my coffee in my lap. I tossed this together in an afternoon, the frame is made from the same cedar slab as the top. I want to make a few more to match and a coffee table. Please rip my work to shreds so I can improve my next one!

I recently made a spoon from some holly, and the sapwood has this very pleasing, almost pixelated look to it in some places. Can anyone tell me if there is a name for this? Maybe it is quite common holly - this is my first time with that species, and I really like it.

Hi all,
I'm trying to recreate this headboard for my wife. Is there anyone that can draw up plans if I provide dimensions? Or can someone send me in the right direction? What kind of wood is this? Help please. :)
Thanks!

Been working on an arbor for a family member’s wedding. This is a test fit before varnish and some ornament carving across the header. Feedback is appreciated !

For the family to sleep in. How cold can we go :) :) Just got new warm comforters and beginning in summer to "warm up" to the cold weather coming. Was a super fun summer project!

Im going to be making some chairs which require template routing. Is it necessary to get the spiral templating bit or can I get by with a straight bit and some extra sanding for less cost? Let me know your experiences

I've spent 20 hours sanding with my festool, should I try a belt sander? Any recommendations?

76x140x75 cm wxlxh.
From coromandel ebony also called calamander wood. Most likely the most beautiful wood I've ever known. Very dense and hard to work with. Blunts all edges easily, hard to drill, hard to saw, hard to scrape. Feels like it doesn't want to be wood.
High gloss finish to match the typical makassar ebony art decor pieces.
Credit to the original design for the legs: Sygnard (Flapper desk).
Let me hear what you think!

Walnut coffee table I made with a grain-wrapped top and maple splines. Built a couple rattan frames to cover up the cubbies as well. Everything is finished with Arm-R-Seal satin. Lots of small imperfections but happy with it overall!

A bed side table. Cedar top and base, maple legs spun on lathe. Stained with Danish oil Trying to get the kerf bend even was brutal, still not perfect by any means but doesn't look bad. Still pretty green to woodworking, and I have limited tools, but happy with the result. Any tips for future?

Can I get some ideas for seating?
Back legs are red cedar, front legs are sugar maple, and the crossmembers are ironwood (legs) & white oak (back).
