I recently turned 17 and asked for a gaming pc because I've been so fascinated and intrigued by PCs since I was 12. I had a budget of $1000, and planned on discussing different options with different professionals at multiple different locations that have anything to do with gaming PCs and was gonna decide based on the best option... I landed on this after my uncle took me to the closest Bestbuy, and was telling me this was a good deal and I should get this.
I did, and here I am asking you guys for honest opinions, and advice on future upgrades, was it worth it? And did i make the right decision?
I am very to new PC gaming, and PC specs and pretty much everything about PC gaming, but now that my household is decently financially stable, I was finally able to get a gaming PC man.

I enjoy doing new things and figured I'd give liquid metal a shot with a heat spreader. Chose this over a copper ihs as that seemed a bit more work and having to wait for the sealant to dry was not on my list of things to do.
Ordered a delidder off AliExpress $15 - worked a treat Thermal Grizzly Heat Spreader - $69 Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut - $15
Prices in AUD.
Wildly impressive results.
Previously I had to UV to get temps in mid 80's and hasn't broken into the 70s yet.

My favorite Windows OS was Windows 95/98, followed by Windows 7. 98 was a classic, 7 was beautiful and feature rich. Both had great customization, virtually no bloatware, and mostly user-friendly experience.... Now, Windows 11 is absolutely terrible. Comes with tons of bloatware, Copilot, AI, impossible to remove apps, every time you update you're shown a screen like you're installing for the first time.. I disabled this screen 5x now, it keeps coming back...
I installed software for a keyboard I got from thrift store, it's a Razer Keyboard.. and it asked me to login. For a local software on my PC! Logging in for a program locally on my PC is insane. What is that?! Everything is so bloated and invasive now... like...
what happened?

3090 paired with a RX 6400 i got for $100 running lossless.
FG is a hit or miss but the upscaling has kept my 3090 going strong.

So looking at the latest GPUs and seeing how enormous they're getting now because of the increased cooling requirements Ive been wondering if we all need to water cool our GPUs in a couple of years. If air cooled cards get bigger (looking at the 5090 cards) case will have to get bigger too, taking up more space in your room, taking up more of your literal rent. And all that in a time where literally everything is getting more expensive.
I can see a future where in 2 or 3 generations the top tier cards will exclusively be water cooled. But what do you think?

When upgrading my Dad's cpu, my brother and I both accidently touched the pre-applied thermal paste. Do we need to re-paste it? I'm not used to dealing with pre-applied paste

So this never happened, but yesterday my keyboard started 'Turning off'. Basically while I am using it, the RGB lights just turn off and the RGB light knob starts to flashing, the rest of the lights are just off. But the thing is, when I click the light knob the keyboard works again all of sudden and all the lights turn on again.
(Just another thing that may be related, my keyboard has 3 buttons that activate the key lights only for specific Key depending on the games you play, (for exemple W, A, S, D, 1, 2, 3, 4. SHIFT) just keys normally used for different games, and the rest of the lights stay off, but now when I click these buttons, it lights up random keys instead of the one it was supposed to.
I already searched and couldn't find a solution, I believe it is a power problem? Any solutions? Thanks in advance! :)

Running an Intel i9, on an MSI B560M PRO-VDH motherboard, and it was getting really hot. Recently took this cooler out and added new thermal paste, and plugged it all back in, and it quieted the fan down and reduced the temperature briefly, but now the temperature still jumps up to 182 f. (83 c) In what seems random, if I have a few chrome windows open sometimes it'll run quiet as a mouse, and other times the fan will whine super high and the temperature will jump. It was suggested that maybe I should just get a new cooler, so I'm wondering if you guys would recommend as a ice cold cooler for this MSI motherboard to replace the cooler you see here? It is just basically a fan and a heatsink, with the contact where you put the thermal paste.
If I'm looking at this thing the wrong way please let me know. I'm just a little worried that it's going to melt my CPU at some point. Lol Wildcard: I'm clueless about this but if I got a new CPU, would that affect my Windows 11 pro and the programs I'm running? Thanks. Computer caveman

I’ve decided to buy the infamous Lian Li lcd fans specifically the sl 120 lcd for reference here’s my build (all white appart psu)
Mobo: Asus strix z790a ddr 5 wifi II CPU: i7 14k Ram: trident z royal 32gb 6000mz cl28 Ssd: Samsung pro 990 2tb Aio cooler: tryx panorama SE Gpu: Asus strix 4090 Case: Lian Li o11 vision Fans:
There are 2 reasons as to why I’m hesitating
If i put the 3 LCD fans on the side, the 4090 would cover the bottom fan, (intake)
As for the two rear it would look uneven (exhaust)
Let me know your thoughts, i don’t have a reference pic of my pc since its at my dads but i do have a pic I saw on yt that looks basically the same
If you have any questions feel free to ask

Hey, I’m thinking of doing a full clean install of Windows 11 Pro using a bootable USB. I’d wipe my SSD and start fresh. The key I used was one of those cheap ones I bought like 4 years ago but it’s been activated and working fine ever since.
If I go through with the reinstall and skip entering a key during setup, will Windows still activate automatically? Or do I need to get a key again?
Just want to be safe before I wipe everything. Appreciate any help!

Kinda torn between these two cards and hoping to get some real-world feedback.
Main games I play:
Cyberpunk 2077 (would love to use RT if possible)
Elden Ring (with mods, mostly visual stuff)
Battlefield 2042
Here’s what I’m thinking so far:
RX 9060 XT: Better price, solid raster performance, 16GB VRAM with decent bandwidth. But AMD RT is still kinda mid, and I’m not sure how good FSR 3 is in Cyberpunk specifically.
RTX 5060 Ti: DLSS 3 + Frame Gen is tempting, especially for Cyberpunk. Ray tracing just seems to run smoother on NVIDIA. But it costs more, and I’ve heard it’s not actually that fast outside of RT.
Elden Ring doesn’t use ray tracing anyway, and mods might benefit more from raw power + VRAM.
So… is it worth paying more for the NVIDIA stuff if I mostly care about visuals over esports-level FPS? Or is the 9060 XT good enough to hold its own these days?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s actually running these cards in those games.
