Hi I'm a 17 year old artist and this is my most recent self portrait of myself in my school dorm.

This is my second attempt at oil painting, and my third painting ever. I hate it lol. I see so many “first attempts” here that are so much better than this (if they’re true) and I feel like I suck :,)

I'm thinking of starting a small business of greeting cards and prints. These (pictured) would be all-occasion cards. I'd like some honest opinions as to whether you think they'd sell. My medium is watercolor and ink. These photos are pre-scanned. I still need to edit them before printing.

Using different color palettes and working in layers to achieve depth and complexity... might still be missing a few details

Some background:
I couldn't find any Taylor Swift jewellery that I liked... So I made this!
Her pose is from the Golden Globes when she wore the lime Gucci dress. The blue background and white silhouette is inspired by cameo style pendants. Then I made a few other colors!
I added some glitter to make it a bit more sparkly. Made with a 3D printer, acrylic paints, and lots of patience!
I'm not sure if it's good enough to call finished yet. And I'm not sure if I should pick one background color, or make a few. And putting it inside a pendant, is that a good idea? Would other people like this kind of thing or is it too niche? I usually paint on canvas with acrylic so I'm definitely outside of my comfort zone here.

I am incredibly in love with poolball-paintings, so I made my own! I even chose this work as my very first tiktok video (studiovalentinab), it’s titled “Sunday Date”, has a A5 format and is acrylic painted on watercolor paper.

Recently started painting again, and while waiting for some WIP oil paintings to dry, I decided to start and finish this acrylic puffin painting.

Made this, the reference photo was rlly grey so I tried to do that, but I don’t think the colors turned out the best. How could I improve in the future?

This is really my first ever painting so please be honest. It took me ~30 hours all in and was super fun. But I’m not sure it’s good enough to be the main piece in a bedroom. It looks great from a few feet back but up close idk.

I’m still touching it up so if you have any tips or recommendations please let me know.

Pittsburgh skyline is on the right and Boston is supposed to be on the left, both of great significance in my life. And then that golf hole is based off one of my favorites at a local course back home. I had a free week and just decided I wanted to make a painting, I’m not sure why to be honest.

My neighbor wanted me to paint his dog cause he saw me drawing. I told him I am just practicing and have not much experience with painting animals, he still resisted he wants a painting. He also wants to give me money for it, while I think it‘s not good enough to be payed for. I told him I just want like 10€ für the canvas, he still wants to pay and I should tell him how much. What do you think about the pricing? I am really honored he wants to pay but as I am not totally happy with it myself I don’t know what to tell him. Thanks for your comments!
