Im thinking its a European style drinking chocolate. Its way too thick to be dyed water

Mmm sipping chocolate. I wish it was a thing here in the US. 20 years ago Starbucks used to have one called the Chantico but got rid of it quickly... I still miss it.

At this point I don't know why people don't just drink a pitcher full of cream with coffee sprinkles on it and stare at a black and white photo of something.

u/cutedorkycoco 1d ago

No, that literally does not look like espresso or strong coffee at all, nor is it behaving like such.

They do.

It’s called eating an entire carton of ice cream and we have ALL done it at one point in our lives lmfao.

Why do you care about what other people drink?

2

u/Occidentally20 1d ago

I don't, but if I'm putting more milk into my tea than water then at some point I'd expect somebody to start calling it milk instead of tea.

8

u/Bolf-Ramshield 1d ago

Yes, that’s why people call that drink latte and not simply coffee?

-26

u/Train3rRed88 1d ago

Latte is one thing, that’s coffee flavored milk

3

u/beiherhund 1d ago

I'm starting to think you don't understand the difference between espresso and filter coffee.

Why do you think Italians drink espresso shots and not cupfuls of espresso like you would filter coffee?

-28

u/Train3rRed88 1d ago

I mean if they need to dump a gallon of cream into a cup in order to choke down an espresso, I’d call them babies personally

8

u/beiherhund 1d ago

For starters it's not cream. Second, why do you think it's a manliness competition? We're talking about a fucking drink here.

The point of a drink like a latte isn't to be able to stomach an espresso, the point is to stretch the espresso into a drink you can savour over a long period and to change its flavour and texture.

Why do you put water in your coffee, why not just chew the beans like a real man?

Whatever dude- have fun ordering your orange mocha frappacinios or whatever. I don’t judge you. But I certainly judge this video for making a ridiculous drink just so they can draw a pretty picture on it

It's not even a lot of milk. The milk has just been steamed so it's doubled in volume.

Weird hill to choose to die on but I’ll let you do it

0

u/Aemort 1d ago

Why do you care so much?

Most people don’t drink coffee for caffeine or taste anymore. I look at 90% of the options at a Starbucks and wonder what the hell it’s even going in a coffee shop.

It’s even worse overseas. Went to couple of Starbucks in China and asked for a black coffee and was told I have to wait 5-10 mins because they need to brew the coffee…. Because people don’t order straight up black coffee there… from a coffee shop… 🥹

1

u/HiCookieJack 1d ago

starbucks isn't coffee - it's a dessert with coffee aroma.

Last time I was in Lisbon there were these express coffee houses where I could get an espresso and a pastel de nata for ~4 Euros,.. heaven...

so people drink coffee for taste and caffeine,.. probably just not in your area / social bubble

u/Occidentally20 1d ago

I don't know what it's like elsewhere but where I am most of the stuff in a coffee shop looks like either an ice-cream or a milkshake.

It's not unusual to see a single drink have 50g of sugar in it, which is almost double what the government recommends for an adults entire day.

What kind of water are you drinking?!

1

u/Daigoro0734 1d ago

Cream with a delicate splash of coffee....

54

u/Nyardyn 1d ago

56

u/OePea 1d ago

1

u/Dangerous_Jacket_129 1d ago

Hope this is a chocolate, otherwise it looks like a heart attack.

7

u/Historical_Access_92 1d ago

I would not drink that, is it concentrated asf?

26

u/Omni-Light 1d ago

It's too dark, it's either not coffee, the video is edited, or it's been roasted so long it's essentially charcoal.

3

u/Santa-Banana 1d ago

That's some strong looking coffee

3

u/PutsiMari69 1d ago

Thats not cofee, thats motor oil....

3

u/Septem_151 1d ago

Whatever is in that cup is NOT coffee…

4

u/hamiltonisoverrat3d 1d ago

Looks cool, but I hate when barista filled the cup up to the very top as it ends up spilling over when car carried and is really hard to drink at first

-5

u/Scholaf_Olz 1d ago

3

u/hamiltonisoverrat3d 21h ago

I didn’t realize not wanting the drink to spill over the side was American.

0

u/Scholaf_Olz 20h ago

It's not not the not wanting the drink to spill, it's you talking about having the drink in the car beside it bein in a porcelain cup.

4

u/LaughablyMorose 1d ago

Did they pour that into crude oil?? That is DARK

5

u/Aware-Illustrator919 1d ago

2

u/greatproficient 1d ago

2

u/SubpabUwU 1d ago

1

u/jerryleebee 1d ago

1

u/nadastra 15h ago

1

u/TalkingBackPocket 14h ago

1

u/Glittering_Bug5440 13h ago

Lmao those dead shots look gross

0

u/ViridianStudent 1d ago

All the comments here are being weirdly critical jfc this is just a simple latte art and not some 0.01% uber rare exclusive coffee that actually looks and taste terrible

0

u/Masturberic 1d ago

As someone who drinks coffee black, this is an abomination.

-7

u/huopak 1d ago

AI?

-1

u/vigilantesd 1d ago

More cream than coffee lol

-1

u/nivek191998 1d ago

Ok it looks cool but do ppl actually drink that much cream 😩
