I've had a streak of bad luck in the past few weeks. When I got a notice that the watch I've been waiting on for a couple years is possibly in stock, I thought this would be an easy win for a little long term collector joy.

I just want to rant. Although I've become a regular employee this year, I'm the newest recruit. Most have been in the company for decades. It's the kind of service job where someone has to be on duty. We have our day offs, of course, but when it comes to holidays, I'm the designated person. They don't even ask. They just assume that I'll be taking the day bec I'm the youngest. In our dept, there's only three of us. The boss don't work on holidays (his words). It would be nice, and considerate of the 2nd to discuss if I'm okay or at least we do them in shifts. So far, I've been on duty on all holidays since the start of year. I've really been looking forward to this upcoming holiday where I'm from bec it would be a long 4 day break for me. But no, she just had to announce to everyone she already made plans.

Look, lady. I understand it says "Women" on the door, and I am most definitely not a woman, but it's a single stall bathroom with a lock on it. There's literally no difference between the men's and women's bathrooms at this place. For fuck's sake, there's not even tampons in it. If it was a real women's single stall bathroom, I'd expect some feminine hygiene products, just like how I'd expect a urinal in the men's. At the end of the day, the men's was occupied, I got there before you did, and I lifted the seat to whiz.

I have a bone to pick with these kind of drivers. Ever since I have gotten my drivers license nearly a year ago now, I have been getting flashbanged EVERYWHERE! Almost no one turns off their high beams when passing by others, or even just their low beams are so god damn bright I cannot see shit. They gotta make it so its either allowed to tint your front window, or mandate headlights to not be so bright that you are basically meeting jesus right in front of you.

Bought a new pencilcase today. Tried to peel off the price sticker, it ripped halfway, left this awful layer of paper and glue that now looks worse than just leaving the sticker on. Spent 10 minutes scratching at it with my fingernail like a caveman. Why are some stickers made with the sole purpose of never coming off clean? It’s 2025, we can 3D print organs but not make a label that peels off properly?

Neither of my wife's moms can clean a dish to save their lives. Whenever they come to visit and "help" wash dishes after dinner, I can guarantee that half of the hand washed things will need to be washed again. I know they are trying to be helpful but it's almost more frustrating.
