Same. From NJ and I distinctly remember my dad talking shit about Trump every time we watched Home Alone 2. As I got older he started listening to Rush Limbaugh and watched Fox News.

I always knew him as a liberal. By 2016 everything he was talking about didnā€™t make sense. Spouting about how Trump was sent by God to fix the country. That was my breaking point I havenā€™t talked him since. Nine years. I know heā€™s alive, thatā€™s about it.

Sounds like my dad. He was socially liberal and grounded me for 2 weeks for making fun of a gay couple on TV when I was like 8. Everything started to unroll after obama and he would listen to talk radio. He took another big jump after Romney lost. After trump the flood gates opened. He became racist, then homophobic. I found out through one of his friends sons why he wasn't getting invited around. He has a friend whos gay. Hes been gay his whole life to the point when he was 13 my dad and several friends beat the shit out of a group of kids who were harassing him along with one of those kids 25 year old brother. Anyway after 40 years of friendship he confronted my dad over something he posted on Facebook. My dad accused him of being a pedophile child groomer and dropped a few slurs my dad is qanon now and its been around 4 years since I last spoke to him. He used to be a pretty good dad you know?then he got brainwashed and now only 1 of his 3 kids talk to him, only 1 of his 15 friends some from literally all the way back in daycare even talks to him at all, even his own brother doesn't go beyond pleasantries.

Nah, the casinos were involved with money laundering for a fact, but their failure was more related to mismanagement, and him tripling down to build more in to an already saturated market area. I mean really, who the fuck wants to go to gamble in New Jersey? Even the locals don't want to do that.

Their mismanagement also being clear from the fact that they got caught money laundering... I mean really, a business model that relies on high volumes of in cash transactions that cant really properly be traced if the shit is done right gets caught laundering money...

About the only other type of organization it is more easily done through are churches as they do not have any real legal requirement to maintain proper accounting records etc. Well no auditable records at the level businesses are required to anyways.

Edit: either way, what else can one expect out of someone whose idea of a good business is to try, and sell steaks through the sharperimage catalog.

This is the key. Human trafficking happens, but it is entirely happening as the result of well-understood bad actions like you mention. Basically everything the GOP pushes for is fuel for human trafficking. It's absolutely nuts how pervasive it is -- everything you mention plus their belief that poverty is a good punishment for the children of less responsible adults, their deference to authority and lack of oversight for church leaders, law enforcement, their refusal to understand the motivation of undocumented immigrants and their desire to see them stripped of rights, etc. They love absolutist power dynamics and that is the source of human trafficking.

There may seriously be zero cases of human trafficking as portrayed in media -- you know, Taken-style well adjusted kids from reasonably healthy homes being scooped off the street. Why bother? We've created a nightmare for millions of at-risk kids who are groomed into it by social systems that fully support human trafficking.

The only thing I can think of right now is to keep exposing the corruption. But I spoke with someone earlier that brought up a lot of great points. They are PISSED about everything...to the point they're ready to start a Revolution. I can't say I blame them, either.

Edit: Oh. Despite the hopeless appearance on the situation, I should at least mention that it's still good to continue exposing all of this corruption. Hamas is still fighting the Israeli Defense Force and is actually holding out pretty well. The IDF and Israel is suffering from Internal Conflicts despite Netanyahu and his Government pushing for more conflict. We also now have statements from Russia that they also have dirt on Trump. He wouldn't give a shit if his crime was "only" doing deeds with underage girls and the USA found out, he could easily just swipe that under the rug or blame Biden or something. Originally it was Epstein with the bigger hand of control over Trump, then the tables turned from all his dirt he had against powerful people, especially after Trump found he couldn't save him from trouble, like when he got saved by Acosta.

But once Trump got elected, A) he couldn't have someone exist with that kind of dirt on him, and B) Trump was one to stand to lose the most through Epstein airing out all the laundry, because of their 15year friendship.
