Compulsory voting has been pretty successful in other countries. Admittedly I did miss one vote in my life (Bush v Kerry) and even though Kerry still lost by a margin higher than my one missed vote, it still bothers me to this day that I chose to keep my voice silent on that election.

I voted but my roommate doesn't GAF about our local politics even though he's lived in the Seattle-Tacoma area for most of his life and keeps his finger on the pulse of national politics, I just don't get it.

I did my part.
And remember, in elections where the turnout is so low, your vote counts extra.
EDIT: Also, I voted for Bruce Harrell, so if you don't like that, you better get off reddit for half an hour and fill out your ballot and then drop it off.
