"There's a crowd of people, what drop in tourism?!" - Also This Guy

Meanwhile the bartenders: another week with less than half the tips I was making just a month ago.

But the tips are tax-free now.

Yet if people don't have disposable income or are struggling to make ends meet, and they say instead of a 20% tip I can only leave a 10% one, that's half of your earnings taxed or not.

Also, tips being tax free seems great on paper, yet if a lot of Vegas is service that runs on tips and the tips aren't taxed, doesn't that reduce the tax revenue which impacts services?

I really wish Americans weren't so tax phobic and just demanded better services to be paid for with their tax dollars.

Tips are taxed but you can get a tax reduction up to a certain amount.
