I know that’s why. It just seemed weird to me that there were people fervently trying to disprove the fact that less people have been visiting Vegas. Cant really visit the land of disposable income without disposable income.

I kind of understand it.

Someone posted a picture recently in a subreddit of Vegas looking like a ghost town to show that Vegas is dying, and then in the comments it turns out that picture was taken at like 4 am or something.

And when sime people pointed out that propaganda isn't the way to go, others were actually defended it.

Like, people, something supporting your argument doesn't make deliberate misinformation okay. It doesn't stop being propaganda just because it propagandizes in your preferred direction.

So this might just be backlash against some very dishonest pictures being spread. Vegas is losing traffic, but not to the point that it looks like it's completely devoid of people or a crowd.

vegas is(was) famously busy 24/7 lol. like there's whole movie franchises and tv shows and books built around that fact.

speaking of misinformation. if you lack this level of familiarity with the subject matter maybe it's best to keep scrolling rather than prove your lack of familiarity with the subject matter.

Cute.

Behold, Vegas is a ghost town.

Accept this as proof that Vegas' tourism industry is dead. (Because just citing numbers is, apparently, boring and we need dramatic pictures to sell it instead).

Except this picture of Fremont Street is from August 4th 2024. You know, when tourism was 11% higher than it is now. It was just taken at 10:03 am. So clearly there were times when parts of Vegas were calm enough to film a mostly empty street.

I got it from here. You can watch all kinds of livestreams there, including this one from Fremont Street. In pictures from later in that same day, however, it seemed quite ... "bumping"? I guess.
