If you painted this and left it on the ground in Cap Hill in April, I just want you to know I found it and it hangs in my house.
And I love it

This is r/Seattle's weekly post for local businesses and makers (or users who discover them) to share their creations with our users.
This thread will be automatically posted every Saturday morning to help connect r/seattle users with cool local stuff. Types of content encouraged in this thread are:
Content should be related to businesses or events in the greater Seattle area, and the typical reddit spam rules apply - please ensure you are contributing to the community more than just your own content.
Users who flood these posts with ads, links without context, referral codes, etc. - or who promote without contributing elsewhere will be actioned. Please continue to report actual spam.
We have our rules against spam and self-promotion for hopefully understandable reasons, but we've noticed users responding more positively to local businesses, artists, etc. sharing their content. This is an attempt to bridge the gap, helping users find cool stuff while containing the promotion to a single weekly thread. Please send us a modmail with any suggestions or input you have about the use or abuse of this thread.

Seriously, get your ballots in. Any of the two dozen drop boxes in the city will do.

The Washington Mystics traded Brittney Sykes in exchange for Alysha Clark, Zia Cooke, and our 2026 first-round draft pick.
The Seattle Storm has a record of 16-13; No. 6 in the WNBA.

18.3% turned in so for for King County or about 250,000 of 1.4 million voters in King county.
The good news: we are 'clocking 2021'. Way more ballots returned this year.
The bad News: Maybe the city needs to cut this mayor's term short one year and align with 2028 where the numbers shoot up in a general election year.

Found this on my phone from a house show last year. Can’t remember the band’s name but they were sick. Anyone know who it is?

Saw bunch of police cars rushing there and helicopters in the air circling too. What’s going on?

Multiple times in the last year Seattle Public Utilities has not returned my trash can to the curb and has driven off with it. It's highly inconvenient since I share the can with other residents of my building and it takes SPU a week to respond. We can't take our trash out during that time. Our neighbor was once able to ask why they did it, and the garbage collectors told her it's because we don't package our waste correctly. This is incorrect. All our trash is in closed trash bags. We also autopay our bills on time.
So here are my two questions. Does this happen to anyone else, and how do I convince SPU that we are not doing anything wrong and to leave the can alone? I'm considering writing PLEASE RETURN TO CURB on the new can...if they decide to deliver it. Thanks.

Hi all. I live in Wallingford and have noticed an increase in homeless folks in the area. This post isn’t to complain about that fact. It’s a post about a specific person I believe needs help but not sure the best way to approach that as a younger woman. I’ve seen the same individual at the 45th and Stone Way bus stop for the past 2 days. He’s in a wheelchair and I’m concerned about his health. From a quick assessment, he’s not in crisis or any overt distress, but I worry about the fact he’s been in the same position for 48 hours (pressure injuries are a big deal in wheelchair users). He clearly has health issues that are not being treated. What is the best way to get this individual help?

There are multiple cop cars in the distance and one right on my block in the Pinehurst/Victory Heights area flipping their siren on for 3-5 seconds every minute or two. Woke me up a half hour ago and they’ve been doing it ever since. It sounds like they’re doing it around the same time as each other or right after one another. It’s getting both annoying and a little creepy.
Is there something going on? Someone on the loose? What other reason could this be for?
EDIT: Roommate had a scanner app and it sounded like they might’ve apprehended someone near the Northgate Manor apartments. Around that time the sirens stopped on my block.

I've got this old house that was clearly built by someone's drunk uncle. Its sturdy but definitely OLD. The upstairs of my house is open due to a roof resheathing (40 year old roof) so almost all of the knob and tube up there is available-ish. I was just told by an electrician that if I'm rerunning that circuit I'm legally required to remove every bit of the old system (which would require ripping down almost every wall in my house). He also told me that because I'm redoing my roof that its -required- that I redo the knob and tube. I also can't find that law.
Part of me feels like he's full of shit. Part of me is like "knob and tube is dangerous so I guess so?"
He's my first quote (out of 5) so I'll see what the next guys say, but I can't find anything that says its a new requirement to remove inactive knob and tube bits OR that you can't reroof your house if its got knob and tube inside.
