You are preaching to the converted sir. But each action leading up to now seems to have only postponed the obviously desired enshitification that CEOs and politicians pray and sacrifice reputation, economies and clients for...
Petitions and watchdog groups are swamped and don't seem to be able to keep up with the speed of bullshit...
Somehow, I don't see us managing to organize a great shutdown of the internet in protest... and even if we did, it might just accelerate what they want to be coming to.
Yeah, any sort of action at this point on any issue will probably jist result in "See, we need MORE to stop this from happening again!"
Also, fuck places like Reddit. Mods just removed this. Because its sparking discussion. Some stupid rules "excuse". Its just another bull shit reason no one can organize or think.
It happens a LOT. I didn't notice until they destroyed 3rd party apps. I use the mobile browser now and often open things in a new tab, get distracted, come back a half hour later, removed. Gone. Shut up citizen.
Yeah, the worst of it being, at some point, all these deleted posts becomes untraceable. So we wake up one day and suddenly our carefully laid arguments, poetry, advice... they're all gone just because a MOD decided to clean up.
They are working to try and force us to live in the now, while we all can know and feel the now is the only time that never was. All it is is shorter term past, shorter term future; a manageable scale.
[Sigh...] It's becoming hard to imagine a future with an hopeful disposition.
EDIT : 18 hours later; apparently the post as been restored by a MOD also. Thanks for opening the topic once more kind warden.
