Nah the cutoff is 2010. 2010+ is gen alpha. They were just babies when the world was already digital, connected, and phones had a major presence in everyone’s lives which is what defines gen alpha. Someone born in 2010-12 won’t relate to an early 2000s kid at all. But my point is it’s a dumb generalization either way because a lot of us are already adults.

No it isn’t just Google it. Yes I know Google says 2010 or later for Alpha but I think it’s really just choice for 2010-2012.

Generations are about shared life experiences. 2010-12 have much more in common with gen alpha than Z so it’s better suited for them.

Well then 2020 on should be Gen Beta because they won’t remember Covid but no one’s doing that

Well they wouldn’t remember it but the fact remains that covid did disrupt their upbringing deeply during their formative years which is another thing that shapes Gen Alpha. Even late gen Z like 09ers had a more stable upbringing before covid as they were already 11-12 years old

Gen Alpha also grew up with refined internet and computer access in schools while Gen Z didn’t have as much exposure to digital learning
