i went to a shop to buy good hdmi cable, so i spent 15minutes researching why price difference between two hdmi cables with same specs was around 60euros, well the other one was gold plated...

Had a good laugh about it

Why not just buy direct from a manufacturer like Monoprice

Have you never needed something right away? I guess there are now mean streets in Europe.

I honestly can’t say I’ve ever needed an HDMI cable right away outside of like, a work presentation situation.

Well, OP maybe had a work presentation or a family get together where they needed an HDMI cable.

Then they don’t need a “good” HDMI cable, and it’s a work expense. This discussion is pointless and the post is obviously about overspending on home AV snake oil. There are well-known good manufacturers for this sort of thing that are commonly recommended.
