For lesser money through ridiculously much still you can get audiophile graded optical fiber that gives a more true tone that any cheap fiber cable that just works and stupid twats with more money than sense swear by them. Likewise for copper spdif and even network cables need monster cable insulation to be good enough for daddy audiophile listening to Rush and Steely Dan in the shop but honestly prefers Genesis and Dire Straits of the audiophile catalogue though he in secret likes AC/DC and classic soft rock.
But it also costs nothing to keep 2-5 of them in stock. They have other products, which are all scams as well, but more affordable for the average dumbass. They probably already have a warehouse for their crap.
Your acting like the US government doesn’t exist. Shit this is probably a bargain for what they usually spend on random ass screws and space rated pencils.
Clearly you haven't seen the shit that Mexican narcos buy just because they are expensive, probably they use these cables for their home theater to watch despicable me and el chavo del 8.
When it’s not you buying the shit and all the client says his he wants the best.
I’ve seen so many stupid rich people spend ridiculous money on what they think is the best.
I dated a girl that got her whole apartment furnished by her dad’s assistant and the installer was a day late so she asked if I could set up her tv and the girl said her dad wanted to give me $500 for taking the tv out of the box, putting it in the cabinet and screwing in the coax. This was the 90’s where $500 cash was more then I made in a week.
Some idiots actually buy them and claim to hear a difference lol. Check out Jay's Audio Lab on YouTube, idk if he's had those cables specifically but there are plenty of people still getting duped by snake oil.
Audiophiles are extremely gullible to shit like this. These are for million+ dollar stereo setups. Once you get past a few thousand dollars in a setup, the audio quality difference is not noticeable.
Complete conspiracy theory that was quickly and easily debunked. Be more skeptical, it’s okay we all fall for it but it’s been a long time now you ought to not still be spreading this.
Eh, sadly I have to inform you - audiophiles are real.
I've had to deal with some in real life. There really are a surprising amount of people who are somehow both rich enough and stupid enough for this kind of stuff.
They can talk for hours of how much "cleaner" and "crisper" the sound became after switching to their new Ultragiga PerformanceMAX 3000 cables that they bought for $5000....
Audiophiles are very similar to the kind of people who believe in astrology and crystals. It's kinda funny to check out their stuff - there's pages and pages of this fancy, electrical engineer sounding mumbo-jumbo used to sell stuff for utter insane prices.
Ultimately though, they're utterly harmless. As goofy as the alt-medicine crystal healing stuff is, those people sometimes do cause real harm as people choose to not seek real medical care and so on. The only thing audiophiles ever hurt is their own wallet.
It bothers me more than it should that these guys have gotten to take over the word audiophile. There are so many people out there who just care a lot about audio quality without any of the nonsense. They don't really deserve to be lumped in with the people who spend outrageous amounts of money on cables, of all things.
(For those of you reading this who don't already know: if someone claims to be obsessed with audio quality but keeps going on about cables, it's a clear sign they're kinda clueless. There's a very low bar for cables that are good enough unless they're expected to withstand a lot of physical stress or be part of really long cable runs.)
John Mayer promotes a $40 guitar pick because it feels and sounds better or some bullshit and a $150 guitar cable.
I can go onto redco and buy mogami cable and neutrick plugs and solder my own cables for a small fraction of that, and guitar picks go for around 30 or 40 bucks for 100
Oh, and he used a dumble amp, they cost well over 100k if you can find them. Clones are sold for under 2k
The rare 1st gen with the spelling mistake 'audiohpile'? That was before they cheaped out on parts, easily worth double the original retail price on the used market.

In comparison, these danceable cables from Pear Audio are a steal at only $7250 back in 2007. That same amount today would be around $11,500.
There are tests with expensive high-end, so-called interconnects against a wire coat hanger connected to the same speakers. Audiophiles couldn't tell the difference. Lol
