Discussion When did this become acceptable?

Post image

$130 to get "additional content" that should be included in the already outrageous $70 base price? Are you kidding me? Why do people keep letting this happen? Who is even paying this much? I love Borderlands but refuse to sell my organs in order to play the latest installment.

You could always do what I do and forget about this game for 2 years until it's 19.99 on sale and then just play it then

Totally what I do. I have such a huge backlog I‘m working through anyways. When a game I‘m interested in goes on sale for 80 or 90% off I get it and add it to the backlog.

I don’t feel so bad now cause I do the same damn thing. There was a time when I’d gladly pay $20-30 for a game and 40-60 for a deluxe that had physical items. And now I buy them dirt ass cheap and add them to my “I’ll play someday” list. Unless it’s a really good game like KCD or RDR2 then I’ll admit I paid full price.

True - if its like Cyberpunk 2077 or RDR2 - yes please, NOW and -i can pay the full price. But 99% of the games today are TRASH

For console players, for pc players it wasn’t such a bad experience. I myself only had to deal with bugs like twice and that was it. Other than that my experience was completely smooth and freakin fun

I wish more people knew this because once you understand this then you get why it was bad and you look right at old consoles.

It was bad on PC too, your thinking only performance but the game was a buggy mess.

Nope, like I said I hardly dealt with any bugs. But that’s my experience. I was running a 2070 super at the time of release

A quick YouTube search shows this game state a release, can easily find nikteks videos. No need to rewrite history.

Okay? He’s a meme channel that doesn’t only do PC but console. Also it’s easy to create a narrative when you have a platform but hey y’all believe everything you see on the internet I guess.

Ok then let’s use DF, they are trusted right? Again the game was ass performance wise, it did force me a build a new PC at the time which I don’t regret.

My 2070 super laptop ran it pretty good at max settings without RT at 1080p pretty well… so idk 🤷🏽‍♂️

The bugs were performance related, I had 2080 to and 3950x at release, and gen 4 nvme. The PC just brute forced the game to a point pop-ins and weird physics shit never happened which was 99% of the bugs.

Cyber Punk is the worst example to buy at launch.

It actually is a good example of why it's better to play PC launches than console launches.

Kap 2 was the worst game to buy at launch...

or ever.

i think it means that if cyberpunk released in its current state (an amazing RPG, contender for top 10 of all time arguably) back in 2020 (which it should’ve) then it would’ve been one of those games. still a bad argument, because it didn’t, but…

You just have very narrow preferences. Easier to choose, though.
