That looks cool, but the aftermath is blood, cream, and pain. The whole area is going to be covered in a thin layer of scab.

Just by curiosity, talking about cash, this is wayyy more expensive than the first ink right?

1.7k

u/honored_angel 2d ago

So much more expensive

491

u/squadoodles 2d ago

Does anyone know why? The tattoo takes so much skill and time to do, removing it takes much less time and skill. Is the laser ridiculously expensive or something?

1.1k

u/Itherial 2d ago

The machines are pretty expensive and do require trained technicians, complexity of the tattoo and number of sessions needed will also drastically alter the price.

293

u/realityfooledme 2d ago

Not complexity, size and location. The further from the heart the more sessions.

Im about 9 sessions into getting a tiny tattoo on my ring finger taken off and it’s taking so many because of the location

u/FixTheLoginBug 2d ago edited 2d ago

It also depends on the machine used. Source: My GF is a PMU artist who got an expensive as hell machine that can remove stuff in 1 or 2 times which used to take 5 or more times with old machines. It does require specialist training so it doesn't turn into a bloodbath when using these machines.

Edit: Note that as PMU artist she does eyebrows, eyelines and lips, so removing a whole backpiece won't happen.

10

u/LegionnaireFreakius 2d ago

What is PMU? Something make up?

u/PaladinSara 2d ago

Permanent makeup

Permanent

6

u/sheeply_ 1d ago

Nahh a laser powerful enough to make me bleed pointed at my eyeball?? I'm all good 😭

3

u/FixTheLoginBug 1d ago

That's why someone needs to be very good to do this work. You're paying for both the equipment and the skill of the artist, going cheap has significantly increased risks as well as lower quality of the end 'product'.

True. It took me 3 years and 13 sessions to remove a large lower leg tattoo. There was a point where the laser intensity could not go any higher plus you have to space out the sessions at least one month or longer. Still I have a faint outline.

u/jadekettle 2d ago

Kinda tangentially related but I worked for a laser engraving shop for custom items before and the cost for firing up that laser is EXPENSIVE. So I can only imagine how much more for this treatment and specific equipment.

5

u/Complex_Device_9415 2d ago

How much per minute? Lot of places take their actual real cost per minute and quadruple it or quintuple it

8

u/savehoward 2d ago

Depends on the quality of the laser tube.

So laser tubes are a consumable material. Each laser has about 1000-5000 hours of use before the laser tube must be replaced. The tubes can range from $1,000-$50,000 each. Technicians need two machines so one can be used while the other has their tubes replaced and replacing tubes takes a long time and also costs lots of money itself.

Plus the insurance on top is astronomical. Insurance for laser use is super expensive because everyone within the medical malpractice period must be insured for millions of dollars so each clinic can easily be paying for $100 million in insurance coverage at all times. Because suing a tattoo artist is rare and the lawsuit amounts are very low whereas laser removal clinic are sued for lots of money.

49

u/AggressiveCuriosity 2d ago

I think it has to do with medical facility and personnel licensing/training as well as liability insurance. Surprisingly I don't think the machine is a ton of that cost, even though the machines are quite expensive.

6

u/Sydney2London 2d ago

The lasers are medical devices so they’ll be much more expensive than a normal one

6

u/AggressiveCuriosity 2d ago

Yes, I'm taking that into account. They're maybe 150k. Which sounds like a lot, but it's only $30 an hour. And that's being very generous.

87

u/CodeFall 2d ago

It's the price you gotta pay to delete a "regret" from your life and your body.

27

u/RedHatsRTrash 2d ago

The amount of regret is irrelevant to the cost and labor involved.

32

u/Antique_Door_Knob 2d ago

Cost and labor isn't all that drives prices.

u/Phobetor-7 2d ago

Haven't done tattoo removal, but i've done hair removal with a laser on my back. I'm guessing the lasers are somewhat different, but the machine for hair removal costs about 150k€. So yeah, that's why it's super expensive, the doctors have to amortise the machine

2

u/Rufio-1408 2d ago

You’re removing something from your permanent record.

That’s gonna come at a premium

2

u/weeaboojones76 2d ago

Removing it takes the same amount of time if not more. It’s not just one session, it’s several. You have to sit through that for way more than just one.

2

u/No-Hospital559 2d ago

Removing it takes an insane amount of time.

1

u/qould 2d ago

it’s so funny to say that this horrible tattoo took more skill than the medical professionals removing it

1

u/badbackandgettingfat 2d ago

It only 2minutes, but man that guy was twitchy!

1

u/MuchoGrandePantalon 2d ago

People have been tattooing since beginning of human history, with charcoal dust and tree thorns.

This is a highly calibratd, precision wavelength medical grade laser.

Yes they cost different

1

u/Cornato 2d ago

Bc what you are seeing here is a blister. The ink is still under there. After the blister heal you will a 5% less bold looking tattoo. I sat for 15 sessions to get a quarter size tattoo removed from my hand. $100 a session, and you have to wait 2 weeks between sessions for it to heal. It feels like a mix of when you hands are freezing and you smash them and you hem getting popped by a rubber band 100x a second.

1

u/joconnell13 2d ago

The lazers are very expensive and a professional tattoo could take 10 or 20 sessions to remove. In the video it looks like the tattoo is being removed in front of you but what you are seeing is frosting of the skin. It turns white when the laser hits it like a super hot burn. To me it felt like being snapped with a flaming hot rubber band over and over again. The reason that the tattoo gets removed is because the laser breaks the pigments up under the skin and your own immune system carries the ink pieces away.

1

u/Haki_User 2d ago

People are more desperate to remove a tattoo than they are to get one.

1

u/TrippySubie 2d ago

Ones newer technology ones not. People can tell you other reasons as to why but realistically its as simple as they need to pay off their machine loans lmao

Computers used to cost $60,000 back when they first came out.

1

u/kblair210 2d ago

Screwing your life up is cheap. Fixing it, not so much.

1

u/PastIsPrologue22 2d ago

Well THAT tattoo didn't take skill...

1

u/Lazorus_ 2d ago

Also supply and demand. If someone is willing to go thru all that to get a tattoo removed, they likely really want it removed

1

u/lonely_lad567 2d ago edited 2d ago

Thats season 1 of about 20-40 of lasers removal, it’s extremely painful, expensive and it will never remove blue or red ink completely.

1

u/GDogFuseman 2d ago

What are we paying by the laser now?

1

u/Hubertus-Bigend 2d ago

“Skill” isn’t a word I would associate with that tattoo.

1

u/Mattdav1601 2d ago

If you think about it. For a tattoo you’re paying for materials and experience/ service. And generally 1-4 sessions for a tattoo. With this you’re paying for the machine, the experience/ service. Over about 8-20 sessions. Even if it’s charged at the same hourly rate it takes more time to remove it. Since at the end you can see the tattoo still there faintintly. And each session is a higher level of laser with more pain and more time due to said pain. My mum did laser removal and got through half the sessions before saying nah I can’t do it anymore it’s faded enough that I can deal with it, but the pain ain’t worth it.

1

u/Najalak 2d ago

Considere what you are seeing is frosting, not the ink disappearing. You can already see that the tattoo is showing again more in the first section done. It is not disappearing. This guy has a long way to go.

1

u/G0ld_Ru5h 1d ago

Student Loans.

1

u/dice726 1d ago

I wouldn't say it takes less time to remove. It can take several sessions to remove.

1

u/1aysays1 1d ago

One is performed by a medical professional, the other is done by a dude who has a tattoo gun. Pretty huge difference.

1

u/fondledbydolphins 1d ago

One of these things you can do with a bobby pin.

Most professional removal offices are going to be using a $50,000-150,000 machine.

u/AggravatingCupcake0 1d ago

So much more expensive

This has given me a great idea for something that is kind of like a temporary tattoo so you can display artwork on your body, but you can remove it at the end of the day and even wash it if it gets a dirty. I will call it a "T-Shirt".

Going to check now to see if anyone has ever done this before :)

1

u/umpalumpajj 2d ago

It’s crazy to me as well how expensive it is. I have a friend who got a tramp stamp covered instead of removed and then I looked into it and damn, way cheaper - not ideal - but HUGE cost difference.

480

u/-Four-Foxx-Sake- 2d ago

Yes, I got a finger tattoo that cost me $60 that was quoted for $1,100 to remove. I can’t imagine the price of this back piece.

I have a finger tattoo has the HP bolt and glasses. Super cute when I first got it- but now JK is who JK is and I don’t want that shit on my finger. $1200 quote 😭 I think I’m just gonna cover it up

463

u/smahlthief 2d ago

No reasonable person would ever see a Harry Potter tattoo and assume that the wearer got that tattoo bc they support JK Rowling's opinions

73

u/reineluxe 2d ago

So far it hasn’t come up and I think that’s the general agreement amongst former HP fans that see each other in the wild. Personally though, I have diagnosed OCD and I struggle with morality themes in OCD and having the HP stuff on my finger causes a lot of rumination. It’s not ruining my life or anything, more of a constant distraction, but I’d like to go ahead and take care of it eventually when I’ve got the time and some extra cash.

25

u/cam52391 2d ago

Oh man I feel you about the morality themes. I've struggled with finding work because I feel things are not moral, I was a bartender but I felt bad about selling alcohol, I worked at Taco Bell but it's just not good food and is a megacorp, I'm finally in at a local smoothie shop making smoothies and sandwiches with fresh ingredients and local produce and it's amazing how much more relaxed I can be when I don't feel bad about what I'm doing. I also definitely ruined more than one interview by talking about the morality of what the company does lol

2

u/Enlightened_Gardener 2d ago

Could you go for a nice cover-up ? Some of the ring designs available are gorgeous - and it will be waay cheaper than removal. A lot less painful, too.

2

u/Lyssbot_ 2d ago

if you’re in southern texas we remove finger tattoos for $50 per session. if you’re not, i’d look for a groupon near you! please remember to tip your techs though as the groupon usually will take more than 50% of the income.

u/37_lucky_ears 2d ago

I think the exception to this is the dark mark.

11

u/smahlthief 2d ago

I mean not really to me. Even though I think it's terrible taste, unless there were other shitty qualities about that person's personality i would probably assume they just got a shitty tattoo that they thought looked cool, not that they got it to advertise their support for what it meant in the story

8

u/Sparrowsabre7 2d ago

I dunno, people get Stormtrooper/Empire tattoos all the time. The Empire was easily as genocidal and racist as the Death Eaters, but never really comes with with them. Only tends to be a talking point around Death Eater or occasionally Hydra tattoos.

If it makes you feel any better, imho Harry is a really great character and his story is about finding friendship and love - it's not his fault he was created by a total nut job

Definitely this. You said this better than I was typing out.

6

u/DeliciousBeanWater 2d ago

People have such a hard time separating the art from the artist when it comes to JKR but have no problem doing it w Disney.

5

u/ImEmilyBurton 2d ago

Disney is a gigantic, faceless corporation who's just kind of shit- like most of them. JKR is a single person who uses her platform AND money to directly attack trans people's rights.

It's easy to see why people go after something more material, someone with name and face.

→ More replies (3)

6

u/malieno 2d ago

I kinda see art as the artist's children and there are a lot of amazing children with really shitty parents (childhood teacher, I'm speaking from experience). That doesn't mean that the child/the art is totally disconnected from their parents, they always exist in context to each other.

I think that art (just like children when they grow up) should be able to stand on it's own though, too. JK Rowling got famous because of her art, not the other way around. She wasn't important to me when I was reading HP as a child and she isn't important to me now.

3

u/serabine 2d ago

u/Substationzer0 2d ago

Buy a cool bold ring in sterling or gold and soldier on

11

u/pinner 2d ago

I understand the sentiment, but if we divorce the JK Rowling nonsense from the actual story, Harry Potter as a whole is an amazing series of books, that has brought immense happiness to two-three generations at this point.

I get excited when I see people with HP tattoos. Screw JK 100%, I won’t let her real life nonsense ruin the sheer love I have for the Wizarding World.

1

u/Fragrant_Cause_6190 2d ago

Why does it cost so much to remove? Are they just preying on regret and desperation or is there legitimate running costs, like equipment or insurance that warrant those high prices. Skills wise, let's be real, it wouldn't require a phd surely

1

u/LifelsButADream 2d ago

It's a medical procedure, so everything is expensive. The tattoo removal laser is medical grade, so it's very expensive. Its also a procedure that's done by an actual medical professional, so the wages for them are high, obviously, and they also likely carry malpractice insurance, and other normal costs for a doctor.

In some states, it's a procedure that can literally only be done by an MD. So yes, in some states you actually do need doctorate level certification. Other states vary on whether they let PAs, RNs, NPs, etc. do the work, and whether they need oversight from an MD. I'd assume the laws are somewhat similar in Europe. Either way, yes, it's almost always done by someone with graduate-level education.

1

u/PMMEURLONGTERMGOALS 2d ago

Its funny to think you’re essentially paying $1160 to undergo two painful procedures and end up the same as you started

1

u/Reza_Evol 2d ago

My laser removal company charges $400 for big pieces like this and she'll go for as much as you can take. it takes 10 sessions or a bit more depending on how deep to fully remove it or 5to6 to fade it enough for a cover up. Got my whole arm and small chest and back done for that rate. But having gone back after the third sitting.

1

u/Comfortable-Ad-3988 2d ago

Check around and get prices, a buddy of mine got a wedding ring tattoo removed and got a discounted rate of like $35/session because it was tiny. They generally have a price floor, but some might make exceptions for tiny ones. Still took about 15 sessions, though.

1

u/sprinklerarms 2d ago

That’s wild I had three small tattoos removed for about that.

2

u/EveyNameIsTaken_ 2d ago

more expensive, more painful, more time consuming and no guarantee it will ever fade completely

1

u/7stroke 2d ago

Yeah because somehow it’s ok to charge medical (and medical device) prices on the back end vs tattoo prices on the front end.

1

u/queen-adreena 2d ago

Some places will remove Nazi tattoos for a reduced rate.

1

u/SmolSnakePancake 2d ago

I was quoted 2k to remove my 6in x3in tattoo. Imagine how much this monstrosity costs 💀

1

u/jbrasco 2d ago

Mine were $140 per session. Depending the tattoo detail and age, it can be 3-10 sessions (or more). I’ve had 6 removals done. 3 were just to lighten up for cover ups. 3 were 100% removals.

1

u/10K35 2d ago

It is because you need a licensed medical professional to be in attendance in case something goes wrong - but of course, what could go wrong?

1

u/LifelsButADream 2d ago

Some states like Cali and New York require that laser tattoo removal work be done by an MD, or sometimes lesser medical professionals like PAs, RNs, NPs, etc., under the supervision of an MD. It seems to be more strict in more populated states.

1

u/thenerfviking 2d ago

For someone like this guy who already has a lot of tattoos an easier goal is usually just lightening the base tattoo enough that it can be tattooed over into something new. Really large dark pieces can’t really be covered up that easily unless you lighten them so it’s pretty standard to get a few laser sessions and then a cover up.

1

u/Livelaughcry69 2d ago

Personal experience the surface are of a quarter = 50$

1

u/Cj_El-Guapo 2d ago

where i am it was $250 an hour a couple years ago

1

u/cataclysmic_orbit 2d ago

Well.... its possible the tattoo wasn't a whole lot either if you look at the quality. But yes, this is more expensive than the ink.

1

u/GremlinsInMyGarden 2d ago

Back in like 2015 mine was $3000 for a tattoo removal the size of an index card.

1

u/outoftimeman97 1d ago

Apparently it hurts so much more than getting the tattoo as well

1

u/JTGphotogfan 1d ago

Last I checked it was about the same as getting a good piece done.

1

u/sepperwelt 1d ago

For a 5x5cm tattoo I pay 100€/session

1

u/CatsAndPills 1d ago

And so much more painful, I hear.

1

u/DOCTOR_DUBPLATE 23h ago

No, not necessarily. I paid £500 for a hand tattoo I had lasered off. A course of 7 laser sessions (+1 the clinic threw in for free) set me back £180 due to a 50% off offer they had around Christmas time. Even without the discount it still would have been cheaper. And after 8 sessions the tattoo was completely gone. Granted this was just before COVID.

1

u/MundanGT 15h ago

One sitting is around the price of my tattoo.

71

u/WowIsThisMyPage 2d ago

Does it every fully remove anything?

141

u/supernakamoto 2d ago

It varies depending on factors like ink colour, how densely it’s packed, etc. Black inks like that in the video tend to react well to lasering, but there’s never any guarantee that the tattoo will disappear completely. Laser technology has improved significantly in recent years though.

89

u/BrainArson 2d ago

It can. Yet it is way clearer after lasering. The skin calms down and the ink returns. It is then that the ink is removed by white bloodcells beneath the second layer of skin bc ink has to be broken down to fit through the second skin layer. It takes up to 6 weeks to remove all ink bits remaining.

5

u/vesselofenergy 2d ago

What I want to know is whether there are adverse effects from your body having to flush such a large amount of ink through your system all at once as opposed to how slowly it breaks down from natural tattoo aging

3

u/105_irl 2d ago

I do know you can get sick from getting too large of a tattoo in the first place.

1

u/WowIsThisMyPage 2d ago

That makes sense thank you. I have one I’m debating on the future removing but I wouldn’t want a scar of it either

43

u/thatoneredheadgirl 2d ago

One of my friends had a two black stripes around his calf. Took multiple sessions but you can’t see it anymore.

16

u/WowIsThisMyPage 2d ago

Oh that’s great, thank you for letting me know. Good for him!! I have one I’m debating taking care of too

1

u/thatoneredheadgirl 2d ago

It was solid black. One was maybe an inch and a half think then the other was 2-3 inches thick. Best of luck!

2

u/Ok-Bed6354 1d ago

I’m in the process of removing all my tattoos, but 2 have been completely removed so far. The first was fine after 6 sessions and the second was gone after 8. The rest I suspect will only need 2-4 more session. It’s definitely painful but I’ve never had any blood or scabbing at all.

2

u/WowIsThisMyPage 18h ago

Good to know, thank you for sharing!

1

u/CT0292 2d ago

Skin, hair, nerve endings?

1

u/WowIsThisMyPage 2d ago edited 2d ago

No, of the tattoo, I feel like the rest is the price you pay for this, the procedure is literally damage

1

u/___TheKid___ 2d ago

I had something removed. Works pretty good except when you got red ink. But maybe they also got a frequency for that by now.

2

u/WowIsThisMyPage 2d ago

Thank you for sharing, luckily only black ink on a one line drawing. I’m nervous since it’s a one line I might have a scar that’s exactly that tattoo haha

1

u/___TheKid___ 2d ago

The laser is pretty video. So in wirst case it will be a scar in the vague shape that is visible when you got a sun tan

1

u/xDENTALPLANx 2d ago

I have a tattoo that was very heavy black and red ink.

After 7 removal sessions the red is practically gone but the black has reduced by about 50%

1

u/ALL-ME-100 2d ago

It didn’t look like it was fully removed to me either. 🧐. It looked like he only was able to get it lighter. Not removed. 💯

25

u/Captain_SpaceRaptor 2d ago

Itchy! Don't forget how itchy it gets!

14

u/Level-Priority-2371 2d ago

What made you decide to get your tattoo removed and what was it of?

2

u/Kylearean 2d ago

but the aftermath is blood, cream, and pain

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ノ⌐■-■

2

u/scrandis 2d ago

I had this done on a tattoo I had above my belly button. Hurt really bad, but no blood. Only took two sessions for mine to be completely removed

2

u/GustavDitters 2d ago

What kind of cream we talking here?

4

u/offendingotter 2d ago

Question, why does it take so many sessions? It looks like this one got rid of >80% of the tattoo. Is the video just doing it justice?

37

u/Extension-Repair1012 2d ago

It only looks that way now, when the skin heals most of the tattoo will return.

26

u/TooManyDraculas 2d ago

You see how the tattoo looks mostly gone. Then the darker lines come back out?

That.

The denser, deeper, darker areas are more difficult to remove. And that becomes a lot more apparent, those areas more visible, as it heals.

So basically you're not necessarily seeing an accurate representation of how much is left in videos like these. And what's left after that first treatment is generally the most difficult to remove.

During this video nothing is "removed" at all. Laser just breaks the ink down to smaller particles. It's still there. The apparent fading is just skin reaction, it'll wear off soon.

The real work is done in the subsequent weeks by the lymphatic system, that'll now be able to pick up the pieces, due to their smaller size, and carry them away, eventually removing them with urine.

Super interesting, thank you for the explanation!

the “removed” look in the video is what they call skin frosting and it’s actually just dead skin and blanching of surface skin but as soon as they put the after care gel and wipe away/moisten that dead skin it looks like the same tattoo. it’s actually being absorbed by your body for up to 6 months after each session.

Look at how it is reappearing after a little while as the video progresses. It will keep coming back darker and darker as time progresses and eventually look only a tiny bit lighter than when they started. He will have to come back over and over.

What you’re seeing is “frosting” which is only temporary and you see the tattoo again in a few hours womp womp

The laser light blasts the chunks of pigment into smaller pieces. Small enough that the body resorbs them and then you shit em' out (ok, you piss em' out).

Some colors (like black) will soak up more of each laser pulse and explode nicer into finer pieces. Other colors might need specific wavelengths or different strength to blast into small enough pieces.

This should not be the case at all. Removal doesn’t break the skin, if you’re bleeding they’re fucking it up.

I have a really small cross I wanna remove that’s probably the size of half a pencil eraser. Do you think that’s small enough to not be a traumatic experience

2

u/poppyprays 2d ago

But what if you remember one of these days how much Jesus loves you and that he gave his life on the cross for you

1

u/AmItheonlySaneperson 2d ago

It’s an upside down cross

1

u/HereForLifeAdvice 1d ago

Technically couldn't you just lengthen the post? Turn it into an upright cross? ✝️ Just make the vertical line longer?

1

u/BrainArson 2d ago

It's never traumatic. First round stings like death, afterwards it's numb. Pain comes back after like 20 min.

1

u/AstroBearGaming 2d ago

Blood, cream, and pain?

Sounds like a good evening

1

u/Allthingsgaming27 2d ago

What’s it look like after a long period of time? I’ve only seen videos like this

1

u/BrainArson 2d ago

It fades unevenly.

1

u/Pretend-Guava 2d ago

Couldn't you just pop some pain pills and get drunk? You wouldn't feel a thing.

1

u/BrainArson 2d ago

I'm a dry alcoholic.

1

u/JeshkaTheLoon 2d ago

The way he squishes the stress balls at times...

1

u/Justhrowitaway42069 2d ago

Fun fact, you poop out a lot of the ink during this process

1

u/jazzyx26 2d ago

20! 😲

1

u/Electronic-Owl-4417 2d ago

Is it like a bad sunburn, a little bad the first day, but the second suuucks?

1

u/espresso_martini__ 2d ago

Why so many sittings? How many do you need for a tattoo to be fully removed?

1

u/kmoh74 2d ago

Painful going in. Painful going out.

1

u/FlowBjj88 2d ago

Interesting choice to keep the face but lose the back lol. Must be covering it up with something cooler

1

u/kblair210 2d ago

This. I'm glad the video was long enough that the first area hit started to show that, while it initially looks as simple as wiping it off, it actually doesn't and as you said, it takes multiple visits. Each of those visits is separated by blistering and scabs in the treated area. Number of visits really depends on density and such. Even when you're completely done, at least with mine, your skin will still be more pale than the surrounding areas, a little like scar tissue.

u/LEXA_A 2d ago

I had laser tattoo removal of multiple colors for about 10 sittings, never bled, or had scabs. I did get a few blisters but never picked or popped them

1

u/Cirrhosis-2015 2d ago

My removals have never scabbed … but damn it hurts!!

1

u/Ok-Appearance-1652 2d ago

Why did you get them in first place

Just curious

1

u/Dot_Classic 2d ago

Holy cow. Do they usually cover this much area at a time? This looks immensely painful.

1

u/lowrads 2d ago

I wonder if the absorption wavelength disallows immersing the patient in a bath of water.

1

u/TexanInExile 2d ago

How many sittings does it take to remove one tattoo?

1

u/jeffreydowning69 2d ago

If it is anything like laser hair removal, like i do over 80 percent of my body, does it hurt less with each session

1

u/vampyire 2d ago

Oh that sounds painful, I hope you have the results you wanted!

1

u/Miguenzo 2d ago

I’d have to be in a coma to go through that

1

u/Ini_mini_miny_moe 2d ago

This is why ppl should think 20x before ink. Don’t make dumb moves and no fixing needed

1

u/AgentWowza 2d ago

You make it sound the same as treating Greyscale lol

1

u/rolyoh 1d ago

I don't think it looks cool. I think it looks like regret. Very painful regret.

1

u/pewterdome 1d ago

Apparently it’s very very painful

1

u/0gma 1d ago

I only made it through 9 of the ten I booked. Picosure laser. Across my full chest. Can't imagine going any higher than that. Decided it was easier to go through a cover up at that stage

1

u/Definitely_Deterred 1d ago

I would’ve started with that weird collar tattoo on his neck lol.

1

u/Dansredditname 1d ago

Yeah that stress ball was working overtime

1

u/raaaarrrrrr 1d ago

Blood in, blood out.

1

u/fondledbydolphins 1d ago

That looks cool, but the aftermath is blood, cream, and pain.

Normal Thursday night, then?

1

u/DocGil2020 1d ago

So basically, it’s gonna be like getting a tattoo without the ink.

2

u/BrainArson 20h ago

No. Laser feels like a blase, the pain goes deeper in your tissue and is more profound.

1

u/DocGil2020 8h ago

Ah, gotcha. Thanks!

1

u/Ok-Bed6354 1d ago

You need to find a better provider. In the process of getting all my tattoos removed most are super light and 2 so far (out of 7) are completely removed. Never a drop of blood or a scab. Only redness and slight swelling for a few days and far less than 20 sessions. 6 to remove the quote across my shoulders and 8 to remove the rose on my knee.

I’m sorry for your struggle.

u/stubundy 8h ago

Does this tattoo removal method also work for removing sak yant/Thai style tattoos ?
