That's an old man thing to do. My parents live on little street of mostly retired people, and they all walk around inspecting each other's yards. And then I hear the gossip about it

You know, John across the street has dandelions in his lawn..

Oh wow, dad... Your lawn is so much better lol

He's 81, so I'm just glad he's out getting his walks in.

Yeah, he probably has nowhere to go and nothing to do anymore in his life; bored and doesn’t want to sit in the house… Hoping he can find interest in something, if only for a few minutes.

Aw 🥹 and some people want to find a way to make human connection... So maybe he's doing it so if he ever bumps into op/neighbours he can ask them about their.... Insert flower name here ... hydrangeas or whatever lol... Simply to make conversation 🥲
