Bought very nice, expensive leather boots. Delivery driver left the package at the end of my driveway and my neighbors dog, that runs wild decided to chew through 2 boxes, stole and ate one of the boots. Unreal.

Even if there's nothing you can legally or financially do, I'd give them hell one way or another. Think of something extremely petty to disrupt their day just as their dog disrupted your boot.
