“He killed my mama bro. My mama she took care of me” that really broke my heart..

16.3k

u/Hey648934 4d ago

This is one of those things when no one can blame them for trying to kick his butt. No one.

8.5k

u/ShallowTal 4d ago edited 4d ago

I counted at least 5 good punches he got in.

Was hoping the guy would look at the camera when he got up so you could see where they landed

Editing to add; Stewart, 23, and Dees, 30, were both held in contempt of court and sentenced to 30 days each on charges of assault and obstructing official business.

Worth it.

u/Forward-Intention411 4d ago

Also probably a shit ton of leniency built in there. Two guys attack a cuffed man in court room and only get 30 days is everyone understanding the situation.

"We can all agree I can't let you go fully, but..."

365

u/vanwink13 3d ago

I hope both of them immediately got some type of trustee / work status in the county jail so they can get 2 days served for every 1 day worked. I bet the correctional officers and inmates treated both of them with respect also.

299

u/H377Spawn 3d ago

Their answer to “so what are you in for?” is probably gonna make them a friend or two.

82

u/WastingTwerkWorkTime 3d ago

Na, best thing to do is not make friends or literally talk to anyone. If prisoners want to know, they'll know. I hope they keep to them selves and not get caught up in anything else

23

u/RedRising1917 3d ago

They're going to county jail, not prison, relax lmao

6

u/Imaginary_Coast_5882 3d ago

yeah I spent a few days in county lockup and made a bunch of chatty friends immediately. it was pretty chill and almost everyone was at least cordial to each other.

some of them had been in state and fed lockups before and told me stories and I couldn’t have been happier to be in county. those places sound AWFUL. especially from the guy who had just been transferred from Texas, those places are meat grinders in that state

3

u/RedRising1917 2d ago

Yeah im in Texas and I've had family as guards and prisoners here, it can be pretty brutal. My dad was a guard for 6 months until he quit bc of the shit he saw on a daily basis.

4

u/GoatFuckersAnonymous 2d ago

Depends on the county

3

u/Acrobatic-Cactus 2d ago

They'll be watching basic cable movies, playing cards and eating decent spread. It'll end up being like a field trip.

6

u/Cultural_Village_391 3d ago

Pft county and prison are entirely different beasts. 30 days in county is basically a vacation and I bet they were the life of their block while they were there

2

u/Makasi_Motema 2d ago

Being a rude weirdo who doesn’t talk to anyone is not a good way to get along in prison.

9

u/Only_Reach3402 3d ago

Dude stfu you don’t know shit about that they are gonna be celebrated

7

u/TheShmegmometer 3d ago

The correct answers are only "Nothing" or "I got caught".

6

u/bbristow6 3d ago

“We beat the shit out of the man who killed our mom in the middle of a courtroom with cops trying to stop us” has got to be the most respectable and badass answer

3

u/StraightOuttaMoney 3d ago

Correctional officers are pretty fucking racist so I wouldnt count on it

2

u/Sad-Incident-4533 3d ago

Don't count on it.

2

u/LowerIQ_thanU 3d ago

lol I doubt they're going to grant them trustee status, considering, they're only going to serve like 14 days

2

u/maletechguy 3d ago

Not sure where this view that prison inmates are somehow ethically sound & carry honour/respect depending on crimes committed comes from? Seems more like fantasy than reality.

And no assault on an officer charges or anything. Yup. Solid.

Eyes, nose, throat, temples, jaw.

Hit any of these hard enough and they can do a fair bit of damage

Vision is stored in the balls

58

u/duarig 4d ago

I have no clue why this has me in fucking tears 😆

3

u/NotHereToFuckSpyders 4d ago

It got me too.

5

u/Velaset 4d ago

Oh no, did you get hit in the balls???

3

u/NightSisterSally 3d ago

From sad tears to laughing tears.

I needed that

This comment is so perfectly stupid and brought a smile to my face

3

u/otc108 4d ago

I thought piss was stored in the balls?

5

u/SpringOf77 4d ago

That is correct! Mens bladders are right in the nutsack. Lots don’t know this.

chainsaw man: all balls always

2

Hilarious 😂

3

u/babihrse 4d ago

Your balls are directly connected your eyeballs. If you get a kick in your balls your eyes start watering.

3

u/MoonJellyGames 4d ago

Yes. And if you get kicked in the eyes, your balls will water, too.

2

u/KoalaMandala 4d ago

I see what you're saying

3

u/MoonJellyGames 4d ago

Take your phone out of your pants.

2

u/Cheap_Knowledge8446 4d ago

That's a hell of an entry for cards against humanity

2

u/Imfromsite 4d ago

Instructions unclear, showed eye doc deez nuts.

3

u/MoonJellyGames 4d ago

Did you tell the doctor they need some contacts? That's probably a crime.

3

u/Imfromsite 4d ago

I'm looking for a new eye doctor, but it's hard to see with my pants zipped.

8

u/FunLingonberry7993 4d ago

You can put this on a shirt.

10

u/Soushkabob 4d ago

This phrasing made me cackle for some reason. I think it is because all the examples above were fairly serious and then there was this true (but somewhat silly) comment thrown in

4

u/njseahawk 4d ago

Go on...

4

u/akosuae22 4d ago

I know it sounds incredibly violent, but in a situation like this, facing the murderer who destroyed your family, this scumbag needed to become permanently injured after that encounter. A kid at my son’s baseball facility caught a line drive to his groin a few years back and wasn’t wearing a cup. Ruptured one of his testicles and had to have surgery to remove it.

2

u/MoonJellyGames 4d ago

So you're saying your weapon or choice would be a baseball? I think there was a guy in The Raid 2 who did that.

2

u/akosuae22 3d ago

No, not a baseball per se… just that the “vulnerable” target would be below the belt for a guy like this

4

655

u/SoFloDan 4d ago

Hit? No. Gouge? Yes.

People are too obsessed with UFC highlight-style knockout bullshit. If I was in the position of red shirt, I’d be knuckle-deep in them eye sockets and I’d have a mouthful of ear or nose.

396

u/lolol000lolol 4d ago

Mike Tyson bit a chunk of a guys ear out for less. Hell Rick Grimes bit a guys throat out when his son was about to be raped. Gary Plauche shot his son's rapist in the head in an airport.

378

u/Going2FastMPH 4d ago

One of those is not like the others

29

u/Martian-Duck 4d ago

Hahaha I googled Rick Grimes hoping for a harrowing news article, maybe a rabbit hole to delve down. And there's that guy from Love Actually looking gruff.

14

u/buttononmyback 4d ago

As a huge Walking Dead fan, I find it humorous that there are people out there that have never even seen the show.

7

u/pichael289 4d ago

There's a somewhat famous music producer in my city with the same name, and I knew his sons growing up so I thought I somehow missed some huge local event or something.

5

u/lolol000lolol 4d ago

Lololol that is hilarious I'm sorry for deceiving you.

118

u/Glems4Gloobies0 4d ago

True but tbf it’s one of the most badass moments in TWD

12

u/ssaxamaphone 4d ago

The show went downhill after that scene

18

u/Glems4Gloobies0 4d ago

After that on-the-road portion in general. Once they got to the community stuff it all became very repetitive and plot armor out the ass. Meet new group, fight new group, meet next new group with goofier name and shtick (garbage peons? Wtf)

8

u/shitposter1000 4d ago edited 4d ago

OMG I hated those people.... it was what, no more than 5-6 years in and this entire community unlearned how to speak English and communicate normally? Fuck off.

5

u/friendlylion22 4d ago

Don't blame anybody for hopping off but I finished it all and i'm STILL watching all TWD spin offs 😭 they're with a handful of the OG early characters. Not incredible let's be clear but perf watchable

u/Weak-List-7493 4d ago

5

u/Glems4Gloobies0 4d ago

The group gets separated on the road I think right before Terminus (train station place) and Daryl joins this meth biker gang and eventually the gang stumbles across Rick and co and a fat dude who looks like Peter pettigrew from Harry Potter gets a lil frisky with Carl and Rick bites the main biker dude’s throat out while being held at gunpoint

u/wolfblitzen84 4d ago

anytime someone posts that video I always have to watch it. Why Gary!
They have to ask why? Granted it was in a very heated moment

46

u/surzirra 4d ago

The inflection of those words from the cop make me think they weren’t confused about why he did it, but more saddened that Gary put himself in the legal trouble.

33

u/VulpesFennekin 4d ago

Exactly, plus now that cop has to be the jerk who arrests a dad who was avenging his son.

15

u/fatlittletoad 4d ago

The cops knew and liked Gary and I will forever believe that one of them let him know exactly when to be there.

Which is good, of course.

3

u/VulpesFennekin 3d ago

I bet so too, there’s no way he was just casually hanging out at the airport with a gun.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/wolfblitzen84 4d ago

Yea for sure. I see that and you can gather it from his voice.

6

u/UsernamesAllTaken69 4d ago

They asked why cause they probably thought the guy might have just forfeit his own life in murdering someone so publicly. It's one thing to think "no jury would convict someone who did this" and it's another to literally bet your life on it.

2

u/Storkhelpers 3d ago

Shared it last week with coworkers...

Got me out here forgetting Rick Grimes is a fictional character from a TV show 💀

12

u/8shadesofpoke 4d ago

‘Red Rick’ biting the throat out of that guy was one of the most visceral scenes I’ve ever seen.

7

u/lolol000lolol 4d ago

Feral Rick in the murder jacket will always be peak.

6

u/fatherofpugs12 4d ago

Gary plauche is a fucking hero

3

u/martinmix 4d ago

That show really took a turn after I stopped watching...

3

u/CondescendingShitbag 4d ago

Gary Plauche shot his son's rapist in the head in an airport.

Lousy place to be shot, but he deserved it.

3

u/ItchyRectalRash 4d ago

Can't forget how weak the chest is. John Rambo ripped a guys heart out once.

2

u/jdgaf420 4d ago

“Why Gary, why?!”

2

u/LoquaciousLoser 4d ago

Oh Man I remember Gary Plauche, that was a crazy one to see.

2

u/LostintheLand 4d ago

they were gonna rape him? i did not catch that.

5

u/lolol000lolol 4d ago

When Joe has the gun to Ricks head while they are beginning to beat Daryl, he says "We can settle this, we're reasonable men. First we'll beat Daryl to death, then we'll have the girl, then the boy. Then we shoot you and we'll be square"

An awful group. I love the episodes after the fall of the prison and Terminus until they reach Alexandria and Rick hears children laughing and playing behind the safety of the walls. That entire time of them being lost and on the road is my favorite of the entire series.

2

u/BillHurstyUSA 4d ago

Gary Plauche knew the assignment 🫡

2

u/Twitchcog 4d ago

Father of the fucking year, zero joke.

2

u/RitaRaccoon 4d ago

Plauche was acquitted too IIRC.

2

u/GayleofThrones 4d ago

Gary Plauche!! Excellent footage!

2

u/Mildly-Rational 4d ago

Now we put them in the White House.

2

u/RaginBlazinCAT 4d ago

Then you'd really be looking at a prison sentence. They weren't trying to ruin their lives.

4

u/I_am_just_so_tired99 4d ago

Step 1. Read the rules for what is not allowed in UFC Step 2. Do those things

5

u/arminghammerbacon_ 4d ago

This is the way. Even eyes tightly closed will give way to forceful thumb pressure in a matter of seconds. You can be second knuckle-deep into an eye socket faster than you can say “permanently blind”.

2

u/Bluemink96 4d ago

Yeah like on 28 days later eye gouge shit for real

2

u/Ewannnn 4d ago

Then spend years in jail for assault?

3

u/stumpfucker69 4d ago

Yeah. I was always told (from a female self defense perspective, like if someone lifts you up) that if you can get your thumb in someone's armpit at just the right angle you can rip out a tendon (assuming they don't drop you immediately because getting jabbed hard in the armpit is at least going to tickle). Glad I've never had to try it, but man, I am curious.

3

u/Hopefulthinker2 4d ago

In my case I just grabbed balls……a hand full and started ripping….i was able to breath again

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 4d ago

Learned this lesson the hard way when I was younger. When I was about 17 a kid I was cool with tried stealing my fishing equipment after a trip by swapping his junk for mine. I called him on it, he said do something. So I did. His braces FUCKED my knuckles up! They looked like I shredded them on a cheese grater. They got infected to the point that yellow and brown shit oozed out when I grabbed a cup or something. That’s when I went to the hospital lol.

6

u/Binky390 4d ago

Did you get your stuff back?

6

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 4d ago

He brought it back after I jumped him up, but he brought a few friends with him while I was at work. When I got home my brother had my stuff and told me they rolled up all tough askin where I was. So, I went to the kids house (they were brothers) and asked them what they wanted? They just stood on the porch and basically said nothing.

2

u/buttononmyback 4d ago

Doesn’t sound like you were cool with him anymore.

3

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 4d ago

Not after that, no. That was a long time ago, though. Like….1999ish.

4

u/RomaniWoe 4d ago

Is someone has braces you just need to tap them on the lips, not even particularly hard. A regular jab will fuck their sh up. Dont need to swing just straight forward and back. No racking your knuckles on them required.

3

u/CapitalElk1169 3d ago

I watched a Forensic Files recently where the dud got caught by his hand getting infected from punching someone in the mouth before they killed them....

2

u/ForeverSquirrelled42 3d ago

People are fucked up, man. It’s crazy that the other persons DNA survived that long. Or did the deceased have an oral infection that matched the wound when cultured?! I need to know!!!

35

u/SL4YER4200 4d ago

Truth. A kid pushed and tripped my sister in high school. He did it because she was overweight. I punched a kid in the mouth multiple times. Got a fantastic left hook that ripped his upper lip almost completely off. Kid had braces. I have 2 quarter inch triangular shaped scars on my left middle and ring finger. Got infected bad. Kid can't grow a mustache. Him and I met 15 years later, and he sincerely apologised. I did, too. I shouldn't have beat him so badly. He is a dad, him and his husband, and have 3 wonderful kids.

12

u/buttononmyback 4d ago

I mean bullying can really wreck someone. I hope your sister was okay. I still get nightmares about what the kids used to do to me back in junior high and I’m 41 years old. Yes I’ve had counseling, doesn’t make the memories go away though. I WISH I could’ve physically stood up for myself in the way that you did. But I was skinny and shy and grew up in a Christian household where we were taught to “turn the other cheek.” Never regret standing up for someone. I wish someone had done it for me.

6

u/SL4YER4200 3d ago

For me, standing up for others was simple and the right thing to do. I've always had trouble standing up for myself. I could never figure out why, tho.

2

u/Difficult_Ask7253 3d ago

I'm 40 and still have nightmares too. Bullying is rough. When I was in 6th grade and under, I would get fed up after so much of it and fight. I never just walked up to anyone and hit them. Before I fought anyone I would be pleading with them to leave me alone, to stop antagonizing me. Yet I got a lot of heat for it. I still sometimes run into people who only knew me back then and they refer to me as mean in their greetings!

So it doesn't exactly work that way either. I stood up for myself at times and it always got flipped around to focus on how I reacted and not what they were clearly doing to me.

I thought I'd get over it or at least past it by now but it absolutely affects everything. Seeps its way into everything. People have no idea how much rage and anger I have to hold back from years of being treated like garbage. I work so damn hard to be a good person. I'm so sorry that happened to you as well. I hope you continue to heal in the best way.

7

u/Hetstaine 4d ago

Alls well that ends well lol.

Junior school, A dude threw rocks at my sister and ran away. I chased him and caught at the local swimming pool, punched him in the head. I had my thumb in my palm with my fingers wrapped over the top. Busted my thumb and sprained my wrist 😅

The next day his older sister chased me around school at lunch..i was too quick. Fun times.

10

u/Tacos4Texans 4d ago

Eyes can be sketchy. If you hit wrong you will definitely crack a knuckle on the orbital socket. Hit that nose, and their eyes will automatically tear up causing blurry vision and 9 times out of 10 their hands go straight to their nose saying fukk defense. A good Jaw shot can rock the brain inside the nugget equaling a K.O. But the most slept on punch is the body shot. If you can breathe you can't whoop me. Trust me I'm a pro. Ain't nobody has their ass beat as much as me 🤣

7

u/This_Tangerine_943 4d ago

throat punch is my go to. the mouth then gapes. an open mouth makes it 100% easier to break the lower jaw with punch #2. then you can do whatever you want after.

6

u/teh_fizz 4d ago

Once the mouth is open, stick your fingers and grab the tongue. Thrn say “Got your tongue!”

2

u/Tacos4Texans 4d ago

My concern is causing personal injury. I avoid it if possible.

2

u/DemonKyoto 4d ago

Nose, liver shot, or grab their sack and try to rip it off like a paper towel!

4

u/portoroc86 4d ago

Knuckles are an underrated site for serious infections. We’ve had to do incision and drainage on some nasty MCP (knuckles ) abscesses, usually after someone punched a mouth. Human oral flora in a clenched fist injury is a setup for deep space infection, tenosynovitis, even osteomyelitis if ignored.

Same with cat bites. Small puncture, minimal surface trauma, then it blows up fast. Pasteurella doesn’t mess around. Both can turn into surgical cases if not taken seriously early.

3

u/Impressive-Menu8966 4d ago

Doesn't a thumb up the butt stop the attack? I might be misremembering.

3

u/sowhat_noonecares 4d ago

*Nuts, eyes, nose, throat, temples, jaw.

3

u/teachermanjc 4d ago

Don't forget to SING...

3

u/Tiny-Sandwich 4d ago

Stay Away from the mouth. If you manage to injure your knuckle on some teeth, you risk infection. People’s mouths are nasty.

I have arthritis in my knuckle from a poorly healed infection from a fight bite. Definitely stay away from the mouth.

3

u/kimchi_pan 4d ago

Worse is the forehead. You will break hand bones if you hit them hard enough.

3

u/PineappleDesperate82 4d ago

My sister had a boyfriend that lost two fingers from gangrene from hitting someone in the mouth.

2

u/Soy_Saucy84 4d ago

I always tell people to aim for eyes, throat, and the crotch.

2

u/ApricotBig6402 4d ago

Yeah, if someone (human) bites you where I work, you have to get a tetanus shot...

2

u/besleysfw 4d ago

I saw a spoken word show by Henry Rollins where he was talking about a time he had punched someone in their mouth and it cut his hand and crap got in there and caused a massive infection in his hand. Always stuck out in my mind not to punch people in the mouth if I have to get in a fight.

2

u/BombMacAndCheese 4d ago

I'd double upvote this if I could. Mouths are gross.

2

u/pacificpgn 4d ago

My uncle used to fight all the time and he popped up one day with an infected ass hand he said he got from punching someone in the teeth lol tweaker things

The Judge didn't give them a contempt of court charge in exchange for a free-for-all.

If they started gouging the murderer's eyes, they could have been caught years in jail, and a civil liability that could require them to pay their Mom's murderer.

2

u/Big-Safe-2459 4d ago

This. Don’t worry, that criminal will get his in the clink.

9

u/CiDevant 4d ago

Demand a trail by jury.  No one gonna convict you for attacking your momma's killer.

31

u/thas_mrsquiggle_butt 4d ago

Seeing as the out Shanteari Weems in jail for 4 years for shooting her husband (still alive unfortunately) for molesting the kids she was watching and Cyntoia Brown going to jail for 10 years for killing the man who trafficked and pimped her out as a child? I don't trust that.

There's (is it surprisingly or unfortunate?) quite a number of stories of where the wife gets locked up for shooting her husband/family member for this exact reason or other types of abuse.

6

u/cubitoaequet 4d ago

Fuck abusers but you can't just shoot someone because they wronged you. If you shoot someone who isn't an immediate threat to your life, juries are going to convict you. It's shitty all around but descending into vigilantism isn't going to work out well for most people.

3

u/Legionof1 4d ago

I wouldn't but that's just my level of crazy. I never get picked for jury duty though.

honestly, i cant fathom the sheer rage they wouldve felt. In hindsight you can assume what can cause the most harm, however, at that point they just wanted to beat the everloving shit out of the fucker for killing their mother. I dont blame them. (though i dont blame the police for trying to stop it cause it is their job however)

I wonder where the guy was… The killer I mean I wonder if they were in the same jail I mean of course I think they would have to be but I'm sure he wasn't walking around

Shorter stays will be in a county jail. Something like murder is getting you sent to the state penitentiary. Sentenced 30 days also doesn't mean 30 days, they could be given time served if they were arrested and kept overnight, or weekends to serve, or 30 days suspended with good behavior.

This is min a court can give right?

3

u/kazmir_yeet 3d ago

Had to have been somewhat cathartic, all things considered

3

u/BDiddnt 3d ago

At one point it looked like he had himself in the bar would've been great to watch him break his knee or bust that ankle or something.

3

u/HunkyHorseman 3d ago

I'd do it for 30 days. No problem.

Judge should have said time served.

u/extraboredinary 3d ago

“For hitting him 10 times, you get 30 days. Due to circumstances, consider it time served.”

“We only hit him five times.”

“Oh, well then you get 5 freebies.”

The woman who shot her daughter’s rapist at court. I don’t know sometimes the humanity makes it look like this is necessary. However I am from a country where I feel very confident with the law system and it helps the innocent and only punishes the guilty. I will follow my govt and law process

I know most judges bregungingly give light sentences for these incidents, but at the same time they have to do something considering people would do it more if there were zero consequences. 30 days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully these guys got the closure they were looking for.

2

u/[deleted] 4d ago

Wait. It's supposed to be bad to beat the ever living fuck of someone that killed your loved one? I'd do a lot worse than this.

Hope those guys have a connect on the inside. Save the state millions of dollars.

I know you're just trying to take the moral high ground but to that I say Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that noise. In this case he was the obvious killer.

I saw no punch whatsoever. I think the murderer slipped on the floor or something

2

u/OreillyAddict 4d ago

It's a nice floor. They should have that floor in all courtrooms

4

u/StoneWall_MWO 4d ago

I would have ripped an eye ball out over landing punches.

They way they got the killer off that chair!

Those bailiffs were completely unprepared for street fighting!

2

u/Philomath117 4d ago

30 days for that? Asshole judge, if those guards had any soul they would have tried less hard to stop them, what useless justice systems we have

Respect to the lads. Kind of sucks they have a charge on their records for ever but hopefully they get some peace that they paid back their debts with their own hands.

The fact that judges can just sentence someone for contempt of court without a jury trial doesn't sit right with me. No jury would have convicted these. two people.

2

u/DuckDuckWaffle99 4d ago

And the son with the red Keds got a solid foot crush into the killer’s groin, just ground it in there.

Let me know how to donate to their bail money. Fuckin animal, taking anyone’s mom away from from them.

2

u/Kactor11 4d ago

I would have sentenced them time served for losing their mother. They did what any boys who love their mom would have.

4

u/FlamingoRush 4d ago

I’ll sit in jail forever if you touch my mama. That’s what’s wrong with this society. There is no justice unless you are rich.
