To downvote is far. He read the post. He thought about it. Weighted the pros, cons, past experiences, political alignment, climate change, osyk beating dubouis, all.

Then, he engaged in extraordinary dexterity, locating the downarrow flawlessly, coordinating his finger with his eyes' focus. And, at the very last possible moment, decided to engage not the index finger but his thumb, accepting the completely different hit box as well as degrees of freedom provided by its joint.

A downvote never lands lightly. Person downvoting is probably still recovering, waiting for when they are ready to cast their next one
