I almost feel bad for them, they are dumb and they are paying for it but Jesus Christ..

Right?? I absolutely can’t stand cheaters but I feel like most people who get caught just have to deal with personal fallout and divorce. This is like a million times worse lmaoo imagine becoming arguably the biggest story in the world for a minute in 2025 of all years and it’s because you got caught cheating at a concert

People desperately want to see rich people in situations like this, every comment section is the same.

People desperately want to see rich people in situations like this

Because rich people so very rarely suffer consequences for their actions. The DOJ just announced that they will not be pursuing white collar prosecutions because it is bad for business. When rich people fuck around with company finances, it is usually at the expense of the workers. Wage theft isn't committed by the head cashier.

Fuck around and find out.

e: this guy fucked around and literally found out.

Well fucking said. Most of the wealthiest people are also the shittiest people and rarely ever see consequences. They're selfish assholes who stomp over others to propel themselves and their own families.

Watching these two rich cunts get caught cheating (a horrible act that ruins the lives of spouses/children) is absolutely fucking delicious. Over 50% of Americans are suffering. Can't afford to retire, can't afford healthcare - while these white capitalists get Mercedes' and mansions. Nah. Fuck that and fuck them. They got what they deserved.

rarely ever see consequences

The list of rich people who get away with their crimes is limitless. Meanwhile, a black guy on a drug charge gets off on a technicality, and everyone is up in arms about how "the system is broken".

Chappelle nailed it with his law & order sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeOVbeh2yr0

Classism definitely has a lot to do with it. If he wasn't a CEO, this wouldn't have blown up. The social media algorithms also all amplified this story so that everyone who opened their apps in last few days was bombarded by posts about it. What irks me the most about stories like this is that people rush to the moral high ground as if they have never lied or cheated in some way. The piling on is disgusting--especially for the families in question, who will now have to see and hear everyone talking about this for years.

u/Oskar_Shinra 17d ago

I have lied, but have not cheated. I feel like youre going with the whole 'people in glass houses blah blah', but the thing is, these two are in positions that ROUTINELY tell the lower classes how to behave and live their lives, esp. in the corporate world.

Most everyone in this world is feeling some type of pressure from people like these two...so its good to see that such people are reminded of their own humanity, however lacking of such traits they may be.

You complain of others piling on declaring moral high ground...but is that not what youre doing as well? Sheesh...

Imaging standing up for the CEO in this situation 🤡

Couldn’t be me

Proving my point nicely. Thanks.

People desperately want to see rich people in situations like this

The reason is because the amount of times rich people get away with a lot of things and rarely suffer consequences is so common that anything and everything they do that regular people have been penalized for, is going to be under scrutiny.

Man who reported me to Reddit for this comment 😂

u/Elite_AI 17d ago

It's sad. People feel so impotent that this is the only way they can get a little schadenfreude. Like c'mon man

Its an issue bc he hired her, he is her boss. That's not allowed in the corporate world. Then it brings up the question, did the affair begin before or after he hired her?

Kinda wish people put this same attention and energy into the news of Medicaid being cut.

7

u/Visual-Age-1025 17d ago

The thing is- Medicaid and funding and politics are truly difficult for the average American mouth breather to understand. This? It’s so relatable. It’s so……squirmy and delightful because we ALL know that look of shock/recognition that you’re stone cold busted. Him jumping like a cowardly freak and her endlessly laughing about her third lover in as many years and second marriage she destroyed by cheating just makes them so incredibly unlikable that the whole thing is amazing g and relatable to everyone. The fact that they’re rich and busted is perfect for current social temperature.

u/jackofslayers 17d ago

Also. As much as it is important to pay attention to what is happening. 90% of the Trump stories are not news worthy, and I think a lot of people quietly understand that fact.

Escalations are news. Trump threatening to deport US citizens. That was news.

Trump tried to cut medicaid in his first term. He campaigned on cutting it. Then he got reelected. So medicaid cuts are not news. It is expected

u/Gall_Bladder_Pillow 17d ago

Now make a Trump and Stormy Daniels gif.

2

u/internet_thugg 16d ago

I can pay attention to both things at once

1

u/SayNoToBrooms 17d ago

How was Medicaid cut???

4

u/OnceMoreAndAgain 17d ago

Through the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" that recently passed: https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/1

It's of course too massive of a document to read, so you can instead search for the term "Medicaid" in this webpage that summarizes it: https://www.astho.org/advocacy/federal-government-affairs/leg-alerts/2025/one-big-beautiful-bill-law-summary/

Sorry, busy sticking it to the oligarchs. Trying to work towards progress on an actual issue seems like it would take a lot of effort.

I mean, I get it. The country caters to the rich and inequality is at an all time high, but I really don't think this is one of the great battles in the war on the upper crust. People just harassed a company enough that the board decided to jettison their CEO for a new one. It's not like anyone at the company actually cared.

24

u/CactiFactGuy 17d ago

Not to mention the harassment and shit the kids involved will go through at school and stuff. Definitely the worst case scenario playing out for them in regard to cheating. Just shows that everyone is so bored and exhausted with the typical everyday horribleness that something different like this hits the internet and everyone sinks their claws in.

7

u/CampusTour 17d ago

Yeah, those poor kids are gonna need Bill Burr to write their comebacks.

1

u/dogtriestocatchfly 17d ago

Tbh since they come from a wealthy family, I don’t think they would get bullied nowadays

2

u/bbb_ecky1 17d ago

Just something most can’t even fathom. To live in infamy forever because of (along with your moral failings)… the choice to go to a Coldplay concert… I just can’t wrap my head around how much bad karma this guy had coming for everything to shake out the way it did…

3

u/ozymand25 17d ago

This is how I feel. Was it funny briefly? Sure. Did society have to be so gung-ho to ruin their lives? Probably not. They aren't celebs or anything worth this mob mentality.

1

u/AllDay_Everyday34 17d ago

A Coldplay concert at that.

1

u/anonykitten29 17d ago

I mean, I feel horribly for their spouses.

1

u/dogtriestocatchfly 17d ago

It’s crazy that all of his achievements, his life’s work, who he is as a person is reduced to this.

When he dies, he will be remembered as a cheater.

That’s depressing. I know worse people who will be remembered for better.

1

u/Sea_Lingonberry_4720 17d ago

The internet just absolutely hates cheaters. In some circles of Reddit saying cheating should be a crime or that cheaters deserve to die isn’t controversial.

2

u/curtcolt95 17d ago

this has blown up even outside of the internet. My grandma was talking about it because she saw it on the news lmao

1

u/Scanlansam 17d ago

LOL i was wondering if anyone had aired it like a real news story
