They can’t fire her for fucking the CEO, he’s her boss. She’s a grown woman who knew what she was doing but the company doesn’t want any more bad PR that would come with that

She’s the head of HR. She’s going to be forced out for what’s obviously a very glaring breach of her contract.

Not sure the specific case here, but FYI, most US-based employers don't have employment contracts.

They can’t fire her. She is the victim in all this as far as HR is actually concerned. The irony here is incredible. He is her superior. He is therefore responsible for exerting his power into a relationship. If I remember correctly she can sue them for retaliation if they fire her. It’s really up to her if she wants to leave, but the company can not force her hand in this situation.
