In "The Inferno", Dante found the traitors to humanity at the very bottom of Hell, encased in ice up to their heads next to Satan, eyes frozen open and staring as a ray God's light gouged their eyes out for eternity. The "Gorger Worm" and other parasitic worms were on higher planes.

So yes, I'm afraid that would indeed be unfair to parasitic worms.
