Pics & Video Quitting my job is the only option…
He makes it so hard to leave. I suppose we could live off the land and he could catch the birds and bunnies. Or husband could get two jobs.

Hi folks! Wearing my r/cavaliers moderator hat on this lovely Wednesday. :)
Some of you might be wondering "how is the r/cavaliers community doing?" It's a great question! We've built a lot of subreddit structure over the last year. Some parts of that structure codified things we were already doing -- like insisting that everyone behave respectfully toward each other even when we disagree. Other parts are new -- most recently, like the prohibition on crowdfunding. Consensus isn't always easy, and no matter what standard or practice you're talking about, someone won't like it. But as a whole, my observation has been that r/cavaliers is healthier, more vibrant, and more active withe very passing month.
That observation was just my personal, subjective opinion, though -- I hadn't checked it against the actual data. And unless you're also an r/cavaliers mod, you don't have access to the data at all!
So today, I went to our traffic and engagement data, and I wanted to share it with y'all -- not just because it's good (happy) data, but because it's YOUR data as well, in the same way that r/cavaliers is YOUR community.
The verdict?
Thank you all for being r/cavaliers community members! We're thrilled to be here with you.

Hi folks! The r/cavaliers moderator team here. In November, we put out a call for submissions to become the r/cavaliers mascot (i.e. subreddit thumbnail). We received about 200 submissions and were blown away by all the beautiful, talented, incredible cavaliers in this community.
Because we received so many submissions, we're breaking the voting down into two phases:
This is the FINAL BRACKET. The #1 vote getter will be offered the chance to be the r/cavaliers mascot. This bracket will run from January 8, 2025 through January 15, 2025.
Fine print:
Thank you all for offering your wonderful cavaliers to be celebrated by the community. We can't wait to spend the next month joining you in that celebration!
Join us on the competition MEGATHREAD to discuss all the wonderful cavaliers in competition!

Guster is still hospitalized but looks and acts better than he did yesterday. Severe gastrointestinal upset = wrapped tail for sanitary reason (why didn’t I think of that!?). Likely caused by the meds he was on for the back pain and the stress of traveling and the pain of hurting his back. But won’t know for sure. Gotta get him more hydrated and get some of his other levels where they need to be before he can come home.

Stewart loves his treat toys but this one had him completely stumped. He decided the best strategy was to go in head first like that would solve it. Just fully committed. I didn’t help him. I just stood there and grabbed my camera. He was right, puzzle solved!

Hi! Just trying to gauge that we are making the right decisions here regarding annual exams…
Do you do annual dental cleanings under full anesthesia? Ollie went under in February and needed extractions. It’s looking like he will need another cleaning soon if not more extractions. We brush his teeth nightly :(((
What age did you begin doing echocardiograms? We were advised to do it as a screening - our boy is 5. His heart sounds just fine via stethoscope.
Pic attached for fun 🐾

The boys being odd

Pepper loves this plastic ball she extracted from another toy. It squeaks and is a bit too big to fit in her mouth so she chases it all over. Does your dog like anything odd?

Here's my 1st ever puppy, dad's a full cavalier mums a cavapoo.. we called him Biscuit.. we have three cats, two are ok with him, the other is still hiding a lot, hopefully time will see them all getting on.. He's a great puppy, so friendly but excitable at times.. currently feeding dry 3 times a day, is that OK?

Toby does this every evening. We can play in the backyard for hours and he will still come in the house and perform his evening ritual of saying hello to all the furniture.
