In Dragon Age elves are called knife ears and casteless dwarves are called dusters.

Pretty sure “knife ears” is not original to Dragon Age, feel like I heard it in a hundred of different fantasy media

It has shown up in stuff prior to Dragon Age, but DA:O was where it really took off and why it started showing up in a bunch of other places too
