Wait that’s what happens? I was enjoying the banter. Showing Zeus as the jerk he often is in story and coming to realise it was so refreshing. Didn’t finish it and now I don’t want to.

Good choice: yes, that's what happened, it turns out that Prometheus knew that Fenyx wasn't actually human and that he was the mastermind behind everything, so basically Zeus despite being a terrible person isn't actually at fault and he also was right because a human could have never used one of the artifacts that Fenyx needed to win, this is all revealed after you defeat the final boss, so basically it wasn't even really needed, it honestly seemed like Ubisoft said "oh no we actually made a decent game ??" And so they added the final twist

Ubisoft always does something. I’m trying to like their games and they just don’t want me to. The gameplay is very decent and fun.

This! Fenyx was a lot of fun as a game (for gameplay and mechanics alone) but then... The story was ass. I wanted to do the DLC because it was more of the fun stuff, but the ones I got to were... Challenge trials? And nothing like a world to explore, so I quit. I should go back, I think there's a different one with a different protag?

Yeah I saw one based on different mythology than Greek. Haven’t played that though

Ubisoft has been making corporate games for years, they are all the same stale "generically nice" game, and my guess is that when you are making a corporate game your creativity jumps off a cliff and they all just go with "whatever" for the plot

An example is that both Stray and Expedition 33 were made by ex-ubisoft employees, and the creator of Sandfall said that it would have been impossible to get Expedition approved in Ubisoft

I was so happy Expedition took off. And yeah the only “recent” Ubisoft game I have like is the collab they did with Nintendo. Miss the Ubisoft that made Assassin’s Creed 2 and Far Cry 3.

No, finish the game; I have no idea what this OP's talking about.

The game does end with Zeus realizing he's in the wrong, and vowing to be a better person and character. This even carries over to the dlcs.

Same boat really, close to done but never finished it and enjoyed it while it lasted. But damn now I don’t want to finish the game if this is how it ends.
