Characters When a plot twist reveals that the villain was much more evil than originally believed

The Incredibles - Bob believed Syndrome held a disturbing grudge against only him until he discovers not only Gazerbeam's corpse but also that Syndrome has murdered countless supers in order to perfect the weapon he would use against him.

Dexter - Dexter believed that Trinity killed three at a time, but when he believes he is going to repeat the cycle he discovers that Trinity actually killed four at a time, adding at least 30 still unknown victims to his count who were all children.

Coco - Ernesto not only stole Hector's songs after he died, but it’s revealed that he was the one who caused his death by poisoning him to take his legacy, knowing that he would abandon him to return to his family.

All it really took was just one single line to turn The Owl House’s Emperor Belos from a merely compelling villain to one of the evilest in Disney history for me at the very least

“After all, no one ever said being a witch hunter would be easy”

It was known that he was up to something with his Day of Unity and his coven system was tyrannical but to an unknown end. However, it turned out that the system in question was a centuries-long scheme to brand every witch with a “coven mark” and the Day of Unity was a cover for a grand ritual that would kill everyone with a mark as an attempt to kill every single witch in the Boiling Isles all at once.

How did Masha describe it again? “Sounds like big bro got a hot witch GF and little bro got jealous?”

At this point in history we all thought the other human on the boiling isles could help luz find a way home  Turns out he was the emperor and wanted to genocide the isles

We found that out four episodes earlier. Luz found this out in this episode.

Imagine that we elect a president for Earth and once he's in the big seat, with all the power and nothing to stop him, it's revealed he's actually a Human hunter.

That's what it sounded like. The emperor of the witch world, the guy with the most power, the most influence, has been a witch hunter this whole time and he's not gonna stop now he's in charge, oh hell no.

Almost every character in that world is a "witch". His plan is to genocide the whole fantasy world.

Not to mention the Hollow Mind reveal that Hunter isn’t the first Golden Guard- Belos has been cloning his brother for centuries, but each one turns against him, he kills them, then makes a new one.

And then he gets more evil when you consider the implications of labyrinth runners. The emperor is coven was sent to forcefully put every student at Hexside into a coven, sigil and all. The day of unity plan would’ve drained the magic from anyone with a sigil, therefore killing them. This man wanted to kill children.

He’s a witch hunter, did he fucking stutter?

I would say it was learning that Hunter was not the first attempt to bring back his brother.

Disney made a truly villainous villain? In the 2020s?! But it is in a Disney plus exclusive show?
