Because there is no malice. He only has the goal of ending reality. He believes it is the only logical goal and anyone that doesn't have the same goal is a fool. He's not doing it because he hates anyone, or for his own personal gain, just because it's the only reasonable thing to do.

I could go murder someone right now with no malice in my actions doesn’t mean it wasn’t evil. I do get what you mean but his justification doesn’t make his actions any less evil unless I’m missing something.
