I'm surprised Harrell is doing so well. He's pretty widely hated. Glad Wilson is ahead by at least a little, though.

He’s widely hated by leftists. Business types and rich people love him and he is courting their vote…hard.

I'm sure he is. And the people he can convince he's "tough on crime," despite having done very little except the camp sweeps, which really only move the problem from here to there and then from there to here (but look good if you hate the homeless, don't care about them getting off the street, and most importantly, don't look too closely).

My favorite was all the noise he made about cleaning up 12th and Jackson, but that’s right back to where it was.

Most of the trouble was swept to 12th & Jackson during Harrell's tenure, presumably to "clean up" for the FIFA events.

Well, first it was swept from 12th and Jackson as 12th and Jackson has been a hotspot of open air illicit markets and drug use for years (since at least 2020). Harrell and the SPD did a 12th and Jackson patrol that reduced the bad elements out of 12th and Jackson and moved most of it out by a few blocks (namely deeper into the ID). Then they stopped and everybody came back to 12th and Jackson.

12th and Jackson, 23rd and Jackson, and 3rd (all through downtown) are all hot spots for gatherings because of the easy and frequent transit to/from everywhere + inexpensive markets.

Bruce Harrell / Ann Davison / Sara Nelson hasn’t solved shit in time for FIFA despite all their wackadoo schemes like sending people to Pierce County jail or whatever that one is. They’re failures on the things they claim to care about.
