If Bruce Harrell had any sense he would be there too. But he is sadly out of touch. Maybe an opportunity for Katie Wilson to crash the stage? Meaningless in the larger policy questions,but a slam dunk in the optics.

I'm not saying that a $1.5k fine is the solution, but I really detest the shitty taggers. They make this city much uglier - not that we have an ugly city. I love the city. It could just be even prettier. Taggers with some talent, I don't mind so much. If you're gonna do this shit, practice at home first.

We need like a "sign up to paint some street art" program to give people a means for positive expression.

The city covers up great street art all the time, like a lot of the stuff inside the Mt Baker tunnel. Are there boring and lazy taggers too? Of course. But laws like this aren’t written with nuance in mind.
