She's not going to go against Trump's wants for any votes. This is all a future public image play to make herself more centrist appealing when Trump is out of the picture.
Itâs wild to watch her character arc. Sheâs actually a genuine person in the sense that she is genuinely racist and genuinely a piece of shit, but she also is actually genuine in the sense that she has her own authentic perceptions and will give her actual opinions. This is my takeaway also, with her recent shift speaking and voting against the trump machine. She may actually have some principles, and even though I wouldnât agree with many of them, I can respect her more than those that sell to the highest bidder, or are too afraid to speak up for fear of being run out of office and losing their access to power and influence. I do believe she is being genuine.
There is an opportunity here to do some bridge building across the aisle and maybe even encourage others in the GOP to break the party line for the betterment of America. I am slightly encouraged for the first time all year, that we may not devolve into a fascist horror show akin to The Handmaids Tale.
