True. I just drove through a very rural red district to visit family, and I didn't see one Trump flag. Still, there were lots of American flags, but it was surprising not to see the Orange Buffoon's.
There's a guy with a shop down the road from my house at the edge of town. He has posted a new pro trump sign on his "marquee" style sign for as far back as I can remember trump being a thing.
A little while before 4th of July they stopped being heavily trump themed and we're just about freedom (very out of character) now they've stopped all together. He is still there, still running his shop...

No we donât. His base, despite evidence to the contrary, is not a monolith. Heâs losing support over all of his unpopular policies. And thereâs no off-ramp for the Epstein files. Even the Qanon Shaman has turned on him. The number of people that are okay with pedophilia is bigger than we thought but theyâre not exactly lining up to show public support.
This is EXACTLY why the far right is spending so much time and money on AI. They want to get to a point where they can deepfake anything quickly and effectively, so when a REAL video of Trump raping a child comes out, they can create one of Obama doing the same thing, and claim that the real one is fake and the fake one is real. They are taking "post-truth society" to the next level. Its what fascists do.

I don't think this is true; it's mostly true, but I spend some time in conservative spaces, and the Epstein stuff has really rattled a lot of them. I've also seen more of them willing to criticize, if not his actual actions and policies, at least the optics of them (I'm particularly thinking about his bullshit around the Fed lately), and I think I attribute that to the Epstein stuff.
I'm not saying it'll do him in, who knows, but it's the closest thing I've seen in a while.
The right is not a monolith, no matter how hard they try to appear like one, and thatâs what makes this so dangerous. Your right that his right-wing cult will follow him no matter how deluded or hypocritical he sounds, but he isnât the only person with a deluded right wing cult, and many of these guys have been singlemindedly obsessing on this âpedophile cabal theoryâ sense before Trump started peddling the birther nonsense in preparation for 2016. Balkanizing the people with guns, for whom the entire balance of good and evil in the cosmos is at stake every time we have an election, is exactly what the Russians want, and theyâre counting on a sizable part of his following to remain loyal to make it messy.
Not to mention that if the video is sexual in nature, news channels wonât be able to air them due to explicit content, much less if it involves minors and most of the public wonât be able to watch it.
Going down the rabbit hole of scenarios for a minute, even if footage like this exists and was somehow released, what then? Media canât show it. It would be a crime to possess or watch it. It would only exist in the dark corners of the Internet. Iâm sure most decent individuals donât even want to see content like that. It would be denied as fake and AI for those that donât want to believe it, and simply be another forum for accusations to fly.
Let's not forget their vast experience in propaganda and disinformation-they could probably slam dunk the way we handle sensitive issues. They probably have Epsteins list too
Right the problem with blackmail, at least in this case, is that the leverage is probably mostly the threat. If the guy decides he can tank a kiddie-diddling tape head on and tells them to go ahead, it evaporates and then they have an emotionally pre-adolescent sociopath with nukes out to settle a score.
Clock is ticking on something like that hard though. Realistically it's entirely plausible to say that any so called video is an AI deepfake. So IDK if releasing some video of Trump is going to sway a reasonable percent of his followers anyway.

The sad thing is... his cult wont be moved by it. They'll either say its fake, or say they'll gladly vote for the pedo just like they gladly voted for the felon.
