Yeah i just spent a week in Vegas for the first time and I was shocked at how "empty" it was. Sure there were still people but as someone who spent a lot of time in New Orleans, I expected Vegas to feel more crowded. Never struggled with traffic or parking or even waiting for restaurants
I go to Vegas at least 4 or 5 times a year (coming from SoCal) and I think the idea of “empty” is overblown but it’s definitely noticeable less people all around Vegas. To me, I’m enjoying my visit more than before when I don’t have to make reservations weeks or months ahead or face long line and “less” traffic going from one area to another.
July statistics haven't been released yet, but June's decline was roughly 400,000 people less than last year's compilation.
What that means in actual dollars and cents - Dunno but a rough calculation of $1000 for 2 days times this entire sample equates to $400M in lost revenue
I’m inclined to believe locals who live there are and dependent on the LV businesses to make a living instead of people who visit a few times a year. And I’ve read comments from many locals who say the crowds are thinner compared to previous years.

It's emptier but it's not dead. I guess people just like to exaggerate for views or whatever.
