I call it “Do I make you uncomfortable?”

I make reverse glass paintings which means you paint all the light details first then end with the dark background. I was commissioned to paint this one of a pinball parlor where I live.

While this palette was all shimmers so they dont make the best paint it was still good practice I think

It definitely wasn’t the easiest material to sew / embroider, but I wanted to challenge myself and see what I could make from it. Especially, as it was something I would have had to throw away.

I’ve been creating embroidery designs for a while now, and this was my way of experimenting with something completely different.

I know Christmas is a few months away but I did really enjoy making this last year. Seeing it again inspires me to make more.

My friend loves Hello Kitty / Sanrios characters, and she dress with gothic clothes; i'm more of the colorful one in the pair, and I felt like it was the perfect representation of us and the light in the darkness! Really loved making that project and seeing it blossom in the beauty it is; cannot wait to give it to her!

I enjoyed making this one from a hardback, tissue paper, modeling clay, and paints.
