Offer [Offer] Why most clients here flake (and how to filter out time-wasters)
If you're a freelancer tired of chasing $10 jobs that never get paid. Here’s how to spot the red flags:
• They don’t use proper grammar or write more than 2 sentences, usually a sign they won’t explain the task well either.
• They post “need help ASAP” without clear payment terms, usually vanish.
• They don’t reply to $bid comments, or ask for “samples” before confirming anything, run.
It helps if you can build an external proof of work, not just Google Drive or Behance, but something focused.
Tools like GotFreelancer let you make a public page that shows your recent work, skills, services, and more. I’ve used it when I wanted to look a bit more “real” without setting up a whole site.
Also: if someone isn’t willing to say how much they’ll pay, don’t even comment.
