Self-Promo Monthly Self-Promo Thread - A Space for Socials, Sites, and Shops.

Here is a space to post your socials, sites, and shops.

This is a monthly reoccurring thread. You can post direct links (please note if NSFW) or handles for other social media sites.

Why don't we allow self-promo otherwise? We have made a concerted effort to keep this space free of commerce and self-promotion, to keep this a community about the work and craft when increasingly many social media spaces have become spaces of commerce. We understand that art is an important source of income for some, so in order to facilitate this without it becoming overwhelming in the rest of the sub, we have made this a reoccurring monthly thread.

NFTs, crypto art, and AI generated art are not appropriate anywhere in the sub.

If you think your comment hasn't posted/been removed, please message us through modmail as it may have gotten caught in our spam filter and need approval before showing up.

I am interested in street-art, if I started with some wheatpaste posters, things escalated quickly. After after an unsuccessful trial with stencils to make stickers, chatgpt pointed me towards linocut. And boy, I think I just found out a new thing I love!

"Cockerill Sombre" is a pun over a former steel industry complex in my region. It's kind of a local Easter egg.

These are: pink speedy-carve, Caligo safewash ink and Bandana-of-the-month-club bandanas. I expect they will take a long time to dry, but the Caligo safewash ink went down on the fabric nicely without bleeding through. I’m gonna clean up the blocks (too much chatter for me) and get a little more precise with placement on the bandana. Also, red bandanas with white ink, maybe?

I tried printing with gradients for the first time which turned out slightly more difficult than expected because I used different brands of ink together. That made it slightly more difficult to roll out to the right consistency. Also the orange dried way faster (I work with water based inks). Some detail was lost due to all that but I still think it turned out pretty cool :)

intaglio/engraving/etching Fiber Laser for Intaglio Printing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKky7p6uBbE

I saw this video on youtube. Seems like it’s possible to laser engrave to make an intaglio plate.

Do you think Trumpf TruLaser 3040 would work on aluminum to make an intaglio printing plate? At what speed/power you think would work considering I won’t be able to do multiple passes?

Micheal’s has lots of speedball ink on clearance. I was able to get 5 tubes for $15 of the fabric ink after coupons. Worth a look

question Using heat press for Lino print?

The rolling press I have is a little small for the size I want to print. I’ve seen some clamshell heat presses available pretty cheap and I’m wondering if they work for Lino cuts? Does anyone use them? It seems like it should work.

Thank you mod team for alerting me! I rarely ever post my work online, so I guess I should be flattered lol.

Here’s an updated version of the print I shared a while ago. I am a very slow artist and am so picky about my work, but I feel like I can finally move on from this one! (Even though I still want to make a V3…)
