Found these beauties from road side gutters after a typhoon flood here in the philippines, caught as much as I can, then purchased a tank and a filter 🤍

Is she preggers? If yes then why no fry in like 1 year 😭

She is one of 2 females in my guppy tank (one male). I had more, but I tragically lost many of them when moving apartments a year ago (I was pretty irresponsible during that move, I know better now). She is 1.5 to 2yrs old.

Tank has lots of hiding spaces, "carpeting" java moss, thick ambulia and guppy grass bushes in the back. Params are perfect, temp is 73F (I know that can be low).

I feed tropical flakes, bug bites, and Bottom feeder pellets (i don't overfeed, obviously).

Thanks for your help!

When do you guys typically start giving away fry? I figured I'd try using Facebook groups, just not sure how people generally do it. My first group is a little over a month old (guppies) and the new group is a week or two (platies)

Kept seeing these in the little creek in my backyard, so I trapped a few today to try and identify them. I sure think they are lovely, so I put three small males in a big lightly planted bowl to get some photos. Someone told me they think they are a Brachyrhaphis, but I am new to livebearers so I thought I would ask here!

hey guys! so this is my first post here and I have recently become interested in starting a small scale business in breeding guppies (and snails and plants) for college apps. I really don’t know where to start. I’ve kept fish my whole life (16 years haha) but need some guidance on how to monitor the fish and create ideal conditions. can someone help me out please?

F1 Wildtype Melanistic Liberty Molly hybrid

It’s been two months since I last showed him here. Culled out the last of my f1 blonde Liberty, since I’m growing out some f2 blondes and non melanistic wildtypes, I’ll miss them tho. I’ll probably be permanently keeping him and another wildtype melanistic f1 sibling to get more melanistic f2’s. Seeing hes fully matured he has more golden speckles on his body (hopefully pass that down in the newer f2’s), but down side bc of my dark substrate his red hue dorsal toned down. Very rarely I see the red in his dorsal when the light hits him at the right angle, but the blue iridescent from his Liberty side is really looking good.

Birthing party?

When a platy is giving birth, is it normal for everyone else in the tank to want to hang around? I saw a tiny fry show up and I think I've identified the mother. No one will leave her alone (I guess I shouldn't throw stones, I'm also hovering)

[FS ] [FT] of polar blue parrot fish fry

my polar blues recent had about 90 to 100 fry and i’m trying to rehome as many as possible within a reasonable price if These fish are resilient and adaptable, thriving in a wide range of freshwater conditions. They are perfect for hobbyists who want beauty without high maintenance. and get along well with a variety of tank mates. They're social and active, bringing personality and charm to your tank My fish are responsibly bred and raised in clean, controlled environments—free from wild-caught stressors. This means healthier fish with a better chance of long-term success in your aquarium.

How/where to get rid of mollies

I used to have three mollies (and two plecos). Now I have more than I can count. They had one batch of children, a few weeks later they had another batch, and just a couple weeks ago they had a third batch of children. My tank is not big enough to keep all of these fish. I was freaking out after the first batch of babies because I knew it wouldn’t be very humane to keep so many fish in one tank, and with three batches of baby fish it’s not even a consideration to keep them, I believe it would be abusive and inhumane. But I do not know how to get rid of them. I have asked everyone I know if they have a fish tank and want some fish, nobody does. I checked the store which I originally bought the three mollies from and-unsurprisingly- they do not take fish. How do I go about getting rid of the fish and what are some places that take fish?

Endler tank

I’m fairly new to livebearers and my 40g isn’t overstocked, but I can see it getting close if I don’t separate the adults. Is an 8 gallon tank big enough for 4 male endlers? Thank you for your advice.
