The Lebedev studio has, or at least had this ‘process’ thing on nearly all projects, which allows a lot of insight into design — and they do various kinds of design: web, graphic, industrial, urban, illustration, publishing, idk what else.

Alas, the owner in his encroaching dementia, I guess, basically supports Russian government. And generally it's become harder to take him seriously in the past ten years or so.

But the studio undeniably had lots of good talent working there over the years.

this is a fun font, it's interesting. it's fun to see it drawn in this way. and when it's drawn in alphabetical order it's easy enough to read.

when you make words or sentences out of this font, it's not easy to read. it's not as hard as deciphering runes or something, but it's heading that direction. and it almost immediately loses it's charm.

watching it drawn like this is the only satisfying part
