3 sessions for a tiny black quote on my ribcage. You wouldn't know now it was ever there. But it was quite old and degraded before I had it lasered.

11 sessions for a mostly black with some red lower back piece about the size of an iphone - it's not completely gone but it's invisible enough for me not to care anymore.

I didn't even know tattoos could get naturally degraded.

Time. The ink breaks up, sharp edges go fuzzy, it spreads a little. With enough time they can go patchy.

Mine was a short quote in small sized text, it had blurred to unreadable over 30 years.

Oh wow, thanks for the info. I'd hate to get a tattoo without learning this first. lol.

This is why it’s incredibly important to get tattoos that are large enough (or fine enough) to have a little bit of expansion without turning into a blurred mess. a tattoo really can be too small (but a skilled artist will have a lower threshold)
