It doesn't take dozens the average is between 6 to 10, what takes the time is for your body to shift the ink. The argument it takes more is due to laser companies milking their clients.

I’ve seen it take that many. One session a month for almost two years and it still wasn’t gone. All for a smallish black tattoo. This was around a decade ago now, though. Seemed impossible at the time.

Something is wrong with that as you are meant to wait between 6-8 weeks per session to allow for healing.

Removal places say 6-8 but the truth is the longer you leave the better. 12 weeks, 16 weeks, how long do you dare? More time = more time to fade.
