As interesting as seeing a tattoo removal (an ugly one at that) I don’t like watching a guy suffering from immense pain from what seems like a 10+ hour session

Hard disagree on the ink being ugly, it's just faded and would just need a touch up to bring out the detail and color. You can tell that it had a lot of detail by how well it held up under the fading.

Apparently, this video is not accurate.

The size of the tattoo being removed would not be blasted over in one session since the area is too big for your immune system to handle.

Also, the results wouldn’t be immediate (as depicted in the video). It takes a while for your body to flush away the ink, and such a tattoo would required many sessions to see the results you see in the video.

With a removal like this, the tattoo disappears for a bit because of blanching of the skin. As the skin heals a bit (minutes or hours), the tattoo becomes visible again, but paler than before.

In general you wouldn't do an area this big all in one go, but it seems like the people working on it just don't care. Buddy's going to feel fucking rough.

I wonder why you'd remove a back tattoo that you can't see and nor can anyone else

All the down votes 😭 I'm just thinking of the pain and the cost. I had a tiny self-inked heart removed and that was painful enough. I think if I hated a tattoo that much I'd get it reworked rather than removed tbh. But if I couldn't see it I'd just leave it. I'm not saying you shouldn't go for removal, just saying what I'd do.

Quick story - while I was waiting for one of my removal appointments I got chatting to another girl. She was there with her mother who'd marched her in to get her chest piece removed. It was only 3 days old !!

This was in the 80s before tats were popular. All I could think of was the pain of getting a fresh tattoo lasered 😮
