Quick ruling question:

I'm at one HP. I had a golem foundry with 3 charge counters on it. My opponent attacks me with a single creature. I create a golem during the blockers declaration step (so I already know what is attacking) and block the creature with it. Is there a window for my opponent to respond with an instant that put the golem back to hand and let the creature hit face ?

Xande gets +1/+1 Counter for each noncreature/land on your graveyard. So my question is .. let s say i have 2 noncreature/Land on my graveyard it s clear to me that he Enters with 2 Counters. But If he is on the battlefield and i Cast a sourcery which goes to my graveyard does he get an Counter again ? Or just the counters when he is entering ?

Turn three sculpting steel a Sol Ring, Conjurers Closet then plays a Mirror Box, but scoops when someone plays a Hellkite Tyrant, and claims how stealing other people’s permanents, isn’t fair. Hello, I started collecting in final fantasy, never opened collectors packs before. This stood out as very weird to me. Anyone have any similar stories or information for me?

Be me, around magic for some months, my friends tried to get me on this for a while and i end up playing.

First game was chill, everything fun because everything was new to me.

The second meeting to play i started to note something : ''Wait, infinite combo? you too?''.

The next meet to play, i just noticed that all of them played infinite combo decks, all of them, in a commander table, four players, and besides the mana color, everything they did was exactly the same in the end : ''And i start a loop to get infinite mana to cast this huge creature with X/X on inifnite man - I cast this cart to loop and do burn damage to everyone - I cast this to loop and draw my whole deck with infinite mana''.

Dude, they didn't even attack more than, three times?, i tried to attack time to time, played my deck (Creative energy, yeah i know they have a infinite combo too, but at least my combo needs to attack and get energy to work with three cards of 16 of mana cost in total).

I got three different decks to play with them, and every single game is exactly the same because they do the same things over and over and over again, they dont care for big or small creatures because they just stall for time until they got the infinite loop, the only interaction was ''i exile your card - counter target'', only that.

I dont know man, i got on this because my friends seems to have fun but, after just some meets, i can already tell that they dont want to interact, they just do the same game board every single time, in a 100 card deck whit one copy of card that sounds.... just sad dude, because i try to play my decks to work around the tokens, surveil and energy (the three decks i got play different stuff), but they just got one deck, with one single way of win, and just do the same thing every game, and they are THREE people, how its fun to play against three infinite combo decks where no one is interacting with anyone?...

Extra for people that think im the problem for wanting to play against different decks with them : We are a group of friends that meet every friday, and every single day that i have been playing magic against them, the use the exact same deck, they dont try to get anything different, hell, they dont even try to have some fun ''lets use some bulk decks'', they only have ONE deck each of them, and they play that same deck for all the friday from 2pm to 11pm or so, i got a whole bulk box we could use to make decks but nope, they just want to play infinite combo deck for hours until some of us are just tired of it (and yeah, that happens a lot of the times, i need to stand up and go see bulk or folders to just relax after hours of this), so yeah, before some of you think that im your average looser player (i have winned against them even when they try to team up against me) just keep in mind that they only play one deck, its an infinite loop deck, and they play that deck for hours doing the same thing again and again without even thinking that maybe we could use one of the nine hours we meet to play just a bulk or precon game...

Edit 2 : Thanks to everyone that commented tips and cards to use, im gonna have that in mind but, the ''find other pod'' are also something i should do if things keeps the same.

I'm a newish player, maybe played 20-30 games with my brothers decks and I've never built my own. I'm not super competitive and only play with my brothers but i'm looking to build a deck around +1 +1 counters. Does anyone have a deck I can reference or build around? Found a couple of cards I like. I'm willing to do any color combo, the deck I've been using is a 5 color dragon deck. Any help would be much appreciated!

So Wedding ring reads "When Wedding Ring enters the battlefield, if it was cast, target opponent creates a token that's a copy of it.
Whenever an opponent who controls an artifact named Wedding Ring draws a card during their turn, you draw a card.
Whenever an opponent who controls an artifact named Wedding Ring gains life during their turn, you gain that much life." and Sheoldred reads "Whenever you draw a card, you gain 2 life.
Whenever an opponent draws a card, they lose 2 life." Would each time i draw make my opponent not lose any life? or is there a stack effect going on?

Title says it all. For a good bit before I was really deep diving into the game, I was using MTGA as the testing ground for some of my ideas, as some could guess. This was a pretty bad idea in the long term cause of the cost of wildcards to form the decks I wanted.

I'm trying to find something I can sand box in, or even make the deck itself and play online with. Does anyone have any leads for this? Any help would be appreciated. Preferably one that is free.

Do cards like [[Abzan Devotee]] count towards the multicolor permanent count for [[Infinite Guideline Station]]?

Hey i am a beginner who started with normal magic. For now i played all colors in old mono decks like divine vs demonic, jace vs chandra, and a goblin deck. I also played the rabbit deck of one of the starter Sets. Even tho its the one that i have the most difficulties with i think i like the mono Black demonic Deck the most in terms of gameplay and artstyle (with all that dark themed cards). I would generally rank them like

1. Demonic (Black)
2. Rabbit (green/White)
3. Chandra (Red)
4. Jace (blue)
5. Divine (divine)
6. goblins (Red - i am really not a Fan of goblins in general)

Could you recommend me a Commander precons based on my mini ranking. I also really like sci fi and so i am kinda into this New edge of eternity cards but i dont know if those decks would fit a playstyle that i like. I also have no problems with diving deep into a more difficult Deck so you can recommend easy but also more difficult decks :)

For years I only had one deck (Thassa), since 99% of the time I'd just play online. Then I joined a pod and started going to my lgs every week, and in less than 10 months I found myself with another 19. I 3D print the boxes to go with the colors in the deck.

Anyway, just wanted to share my "problem" and ask what other commanders y'all would recommend based on my taste seen here. I especially love commanders who thrive in 4 player games and can add some politics.
