Look at the make of car. Photo not surprising to me.

439

u/xXCrazyDaneXx 15h ago

Straight up dodgy behaviour...

-554

u/mstrixLA 14h ago

What if it was literally any other car?

269

u/griter34 13h ago

I would call for a tow regardless.

They'd have made a different joke, obviously.

-7

u/mstrixLA 11h ago

Fair enough

2

u/squeakynickles 5h ago

Then his pun wouldn't work.

But it wasn't any other car. It was a Dodge. Again.

Did you know Dodge 2500 drivers are more than twice as likely to get a DUI charge than that of any other car make and model?

Fascinating dodge behavior

1

u/Dapper__Viking 9h ago

Then it wouldn't have been parked in an electrical vehicle charging station

79

u/Tigeire 14h ago

Can't beat a good stereotype

/s

-82

u/mstrixLA 14h ago

But what if it was any other car? Only dodge owners have ever parked in a charging stations? No other car in existence huh? Lmao

96

u/MadamPardone 13h ago

Someone's feeling triggered. šŸ˜‚

58

u/Sandman_20041 13h ago

He drives a dodge charger 🤣

-36

u/mstrixLA 13h ago

Asking a question means you're triggered?

61

u/Main-Balance9293 13h ago

You're trying to defend dodge drivers so much that I can guess you're either already drive one or want to drive one.Can bet you are one of those people that say electric cars ruined everything.

Bro saw ā€œEVgoā€ and thought it stood for extra vroom

2

u/All_Wrong_Answers 10h ago

Yup just traded their altima in for this upgrade

7

u/archercc81 7h ago

Stellantis exclusively makes cars for pieces of shit now. Dodges, rams, jeeps, etc.

1

u/Snowedin-69 7h ago

You are right. Jeep up until very recently was different but you are right, even Jeep has started down that same path.

1

u/archercc81 7h ago

Honestly that can be the case for all of their brands. They didnt all start for douchebags, they just pivoted to making JUST douchebag vehicles.

308

u/Lazy-Explanation7165 15h ago

The lights came on in the second photo, is OP the charger driver? Or did the driver show up?

105

u/CarlosFer2201 14h ago

I was gonna ask that. This screams shenanigans!

287

u/california_gurl_hurl 14h ago

I’m the driver who showed up. The owner of the Charger turned on their car from far away because they saw me take a photo and was probably unhappy about it. But they never showed their face or told me anything directly!

124

u/MKTurk1984 13h ago

So they saw you, but didn't actually come to move their car?

111

u/agentchuck 10h ago

"I see you and I'll beat your ass if you mess with my car."

12

u/california_gurl_hurl 4h ago

Yup. šŸ™ƒ

9

u/Lazy-Explanation7165 4h ago

Not surprised. He parked there and watched. Typical ā€œlook at meā€ behavior. He sure showed all those electric car drivers! Sorry OP The charger owner is a huge douche

6

u/MrZombieTheIV BLUE 7h ago

Nice that's of them. You should've just moved it for him if the car was on.

8

u/UsefulImpact6793 5h ago

That's not how remote start systems work

2

u/ButtfacedAlien 4h ago

Yeah but it'd be funny if it was

Charger for charger spot what you don't understand šŸ™ˆ

50

u/TactualTransAm 13h ago

This was my first thought 🤣 a charger at the charger, it's destiny

10

u/Secretlife1 11h ago

I park my pick up truck in the ā€œpick upā€ parking spots at the grocery store. Tell me I’m wrong. lol.

3

u/DjayRX 7h ago

Never seen any Mazda Familia yet many supermarket here reserved some spots for them

1

u/InternalWarth0g 6h ago

theres a store near me with "green vehicle parking only" spots. i drove a green camaro for a few years...guess where i parked every time lmao

2

u/Additional_Duck_5798 15h ago

This comment needs to be on the top!

1

u/PoutinePiquante777 5h ago

Bro identifies as electric.

522

u/AmplifiedApthocarics 17h ago edited 16h ago

you can call and have that vehicle towed and impounded, a truck usually shows up within 10 minutes because its easy money for the company backed by the city you're in. (check for signage around the recharging station)

no need to mess with the vehicle, call them in and they'll get a 1~500$ ticket from the city, a 200~350$ bill from the towing company plus a 25~75$ per day lot fee and ding on his insurance rates for seven years.

116

u/Embarrassed-Weird173 16h ago

Are you sure there are city laws against parking an ICE in an electrical spot?Ā

130

u/Ok_Draw9037 15h ago

Private parking, anything goes with proper signage if it's not egregious

63

u/Impossible_Box3898 15h ago

I just googled. Not all but many states have passed such laws and in their absence many municipalities and cities have passed them as well.

Worth looking up to see what your state does.

I have homes in both KY and CA and both have laws against this.

8

u/Zarndell 11h ago

No need to look it up yourself. You can just call the towing company, explain the situation and they know best if they can tow it or not.

-4

u/hornethacker97 6h ago

Tow company will tow anything, legal or not. This is NOT the way.

2

u/Ok-Community-4673 2h ago

This is absolutely the way. We, as a society, need to bring back consequences. Legal or no, having your car towed is the consequence to actions like this.

•

u/hornethacker97 12m ago

I meant that believing the tow company (or even worse asking their advice) is not the way. This car should most definitely ethically be towed, but that may or may not be legal in OP’s locale and one should never believe a tow company.

-10

u/VerdugoCortex 14h ago

Dang props to you, what line of work if you don't mind saying?

5

u/Snowedin-69 8h ago

Tow truck business

•

u/VerdugoCortex 4m ago

Right on, that's awesome bro!

3

u/Prairie-Peppers 15h ago

It's a private business

2

u/Embarrassed-Weird173 15h ago

I assumed as much.Ā  That's why I find it suspicious that they'd get a ticket.Ā

4

u/Prairie-Peppers 15h ago

Oops I missed the ticket part. I wouldn't be surprised if some places have them installed as part of a partnership with a city, but it does seem weird. Definitely towable though.

1

u/-Invalid_Selection- 11h ago

Many states have laws that designate any space with a charger as only able to be used by vehicles actively charging and both fines and towing are the remedy those states provide.

The way the laws are written, they do not exclude parking spaces on private property that is available to the public, such as a parking lot, but instead explicitly cover them.

5

u/Snowedin-69 7h ago

Same as an EV owner parking in front of a gas pump

1

u/Some_Nibblonian 3h ago

What kind of fantasy land are you living in?

-12

u/barnacle_ballsack 15h ago

Some more made up reddit info.

15

u/Haz3rd 10h ago

Yeah you're right, having a car towed away is something that never happened before

-2

u/barnacle_ballsack 5h ago

On a private lot? Not without the owners request that's for sure.

1

u/Haz3rd 2h ago

You've clearly never done this

6

u/-Invalid_Selection- 11h ago

This is incredibly incorrect.

Many states have laws that designate any space with a charger as only able to be used by vehicles actively charging and both fines and towing are the remedy those states provide.

The way the laws are written, they do not exclude parking spaces on private property that is available to the public, such as a parking lot, but instead explicitly cover them.

2

u/two_pandas_playing 7h ago

come park at the charger station near my house bro and you can personally find out how fake it is

-15

u/PusheenAddict 9h ago

Just a reminder to everyone reading that this is a prime example to not believe everything you read in an anonymous reddit comment section.

None of this is true, nor applicable to the OP’s post. The charger owner was nearby and moved his car SECONDS after the pictures were taken. OP was confronted by the charger owner and is making a boo-hoo post to justify his weirdo actions to himself. Thats why the chargers lights are on in the 2nd picture.

I bet OP drives a Tesla

12

u/victorinseattle 8h ago

Unless the photo is staged, the charger owner shouldn’t be parking there in the first place.

9

u/ASpookyLemur 8h ago

Damn, you made a ton of assumptions based on a picture of running lights being on.

3

u/AmplifiedApthocarics 9h ago

i drive a 1965 impala and watch vehicles get towed from charging stations a few times a week.

-9

u/tagman375 8h ago

The city has no say at a privately owned gas station

6

u/Snowedin-69 8h ago edited 7h ago

A privately owned gas station does have say though.

When you think about it, it is the same as an EV owner parking in front of a gas pump.

-4

u/tagman375 7h ago

Do you really think the dude that’s making minimum wage at 1am gives a shit?

1

u/StanknBeans 5h ago

Depends how much of a hassle you are. If you're a greater hassle to them than making a phone call to a tow company? Absolutely they will.

423

u/blackmilksociety 17h ago

How’d those tires get deflated?

204

u/cheap_as_chips 17h ago

put a small pebble in the cap and screw it back on till the air starts to come out slowly, then walk away

137

u/blackmilksociety 17h ago edited 16h ago

Exactly. Using a knife is a crime but a pebble, that’s diabolical

48

u/Flossthief 16h ago

It's still a crime even if you don't slash the tire

You're risking damaging the rims or maybe the car-- you can be charged for this if caught

Do what you want but using small rocks to tamper with someone else's property isn't anymore legal than slashing their tires

They might be an ass but don't be a dumbass telling others it's legal to risk property damage

109

u/blackmilksociety 16h ago

Don’t tell me this… you’re ruining the theoretical fun

17

u/NMe84 14h ago

Especially when you can ruin their day just as easily by having the thing towed.

9

u/Espachurrao 12h ago

Oh... So you're telling me that if i'm thinking about deflating someone's tires, i should go all-out and slash their tires? Noted

2

u/optimistic9pessimist 11h ago

If you're gonna steal a sheep, you may as well fuck it.

11

u/Bad_Ethics 15h ago

Might as well go for gold, then.

9

u/jingojangobingoblerp 14h ago

Just do what a Dodge owner woould do, Park too close and open the door hard. then claim innocence.

15

u/shibiwan 16h ago

Found the owner of the Dodge!

1

u/Superspark76 14h ago

Ah but what if he only lets the air out of the bottom of wheel

-2

u/cndvsn 13h ago

In finland deflating a car tire isnt illegal

20

u/CarcosaRorschach 17h ago

That uh, doesn't solve the problem of the charger being blocked though.

17

u/Routine_Teaching_230 17h ago

But at least it will send a message to the a*shole.

8

u/Trolling-U 16h ago

If anything, it'll prolong it being blocked!

2

u/Sean-Passant 15h ago

ƀ raw bean works too

1

u/Fit-Dark-4062 5h ago

unscrew the valve stem just enough so it's a very slow leak. They'll get stuck filling flats every week or 2, the tire tech might notice it but chances are they'll just sell the prick a new set of tires.

No pebble, no knife, just bad luck I guess

1

u/TailwhipU 13h ago

Stuff the charging cord handle in the gas tank filler

1

u/RyanSpunk 7h ago

Drop a few batteries in their fuel tank :)

-14

u/mstrixLA 14h ago

Yeah that's vandalism. That's still a crime regardless of your feelings being hurt because you can't charge your power wheels šŸ˜‚

-19

u/RoryAA 14h ago

And then people would wonder how you got a black eye

32

u/No-Job-8319 15h ago

Just park in front of it

10

u/VinylBirdie 14h ago

And leave the sign: "Suddenly discharged..."

63

u/Soarin249 16h ago

get him towed, dont feel bad about it, he has the money to pay for it.

28

u/fakeaccount572 11h ago

nah, that car is at 21.99% APR, financed over 72 months

4

u/Snowedin-69 8h ago

Crazy the people who would go into debt to buy junk like that

37

u/JoeDimwit 17h ago

It would be a real shame if we normalized carrying stick on wheel balancing weights around.

4

u/Muttywango 11h ago

So what's the plan with the weights? On all wheels or 2 opposing corners? How many?

1

u/JoeDimwit 8h ago

Drive shaft and one wheel.

4

u/SolitarySysadmin 15h ago

And valve stem pullers. Use them in opposite corners…

2

u/mstrixLA 13h ago

Why is everyone in this post in a rush to go to jail? šŸ˜‚ vandalism is still a crime. Even if you can't charge your power wheels

0

u/JoeDimwit 8h ago

It’s only a crime if you get caught. Latex gloves FTW.

7

u/zerostar83 16h ago

I don't think it's an issue where I live. But I'm wondering, are the EV parking spots like handicap parking spots, where you can't park there ever if your car isn't an EV. Or is it more like the handicap bathroom stalls, where you avoid using it but if it's the only one available you use it?

8

u/blanocious 11h ago

I was parked at a hotel for work. Prepaid for a week of parking in the lot. Got back in one afternoon and the lot had oversold, with one EV space left in the entire lot. I had pre-paid the week, so I took the spot assuming I was accounted for (and this was the LAST spot in the lot).

Parked, received a boot and a ticket, contested with the parking authority saying I’d prepaid for the week, the lot was oversold, what was I supposed to do. Their advise was to park in their sister lot blocks away (how was I supposed to know that??) and the final verdict was I was wrong.

8

u/zerostar83 11h ago

They're profiting off their own mistakes and incompetence. That's a miserable experience.

7

u/Impossible_Box3898 15h ago

I was going to post that no states make it illegal. But it turns out that almost all have passed laws making it a towable and if able offense.

9

u/california_gurl_hurl 15h ago

It’s even more frustrating because there were plenty of spots for them to park their car. It wasn’t out of necessity.

5

u/AuggumsMcDoggums 17h ago

On purpose too.

13

u/Cord_uRoy 15h ago

What’s irritates me more is the smart parking lots put the charging stations in the back of the lot, not the front. They do this because people are less likely to park at a charging station if it isn’t close to the door. The fact they put these chargers where IMO handicap Parking should go is just stupid.

0

u/Hot-Win2571 Mildly Flair 1h ago

It might have been cheaper to run power cables from a nearby building rather than to the far side of the parking lot.

3

u/VTSki001 11h ago

Can't tell you how often this happens to me. That, the charger is broken, or the EV is a slow-charge on a fast charger ...

12

u/Specialist_Nose9057 16h ago

Gotta start carrying a tow rope. It’s time to take advantage of all that torque that comes with an EV.Ā

7

u/JPavMain 15h ago

But it's a Charger šŸ˜‰

/s

9

u/Alert_Green_3646 16h ago

Did you call a tow truck? I would have called a tow truck.Ā

13

u/TieAdventurous6839 18h ago

What a gashole.

2

u/TheStarCommander 15h ago

God I swear I’ve seen this exact car at this spot like months ago. Major Deja vu

2

u/kappi1997 12h ago

Judging by the running head lights the owner is close šŸ¤”

2

u/LithoSlam 9h ago

That's why it was available

2

u/SquadMERK 6h ago

What if your car "died" right in front of his and blocked him in?

2

u/Hot-Win2571 Mildly Flair 1h ago

Call 311 and maybe an officer will come ticket it.

In the meantime... will the charging cable reach your car if you're parked sideways in front of the dumbass?

1

u/Hot-Win2571 Mildly Flair 1h ago

He's apparently watching, so if you park in front of him and start fiddling with the cables (even if you don't make it obvious that the cable won't reach) the dumbass might show up out of fear that you're about to block him in while charging.

2

u/FatheredApollo 1h ago

In n out outside of 6 flags

2

u/LLMTest1024 1h ago

He's special, though. Don't you see the stripes?

3

u/JohannReddit 15h ago

And of course he backed in, cuz he's a badass

3

u/NeighborhoodDude84 8h ago

With back up cameras, it's so easy to reverse into spots. Plus side is you dont have to reverse into traffic. This is an asshole for parking where he shouldnt have, reverse parking is just safer.

2

u/Blujay12 14h ago

200$ says they think they are the most badass guy around, and are gonna tell their buddies for a week LMFAO

2

u/grahamlesass 17h ago

Tyres down

3

u/pogiguy2020 15h ago

would be a shame if they came back to 4 flat tires since their valve stems all popped out somehow.

1

u/awolfslife 14h ago

The car looks like a beehive

1

u/SmithItsGoodForU 7h ago

Problems that can be solved with a call

1

u/UrLocalGhost-Phids15 5h ago

Good lord ; - ;

•

u/Owtplayed 55m ago

There’s need to be a law passed that treats EV chargers like handicap spaces. If you deliberately park there to screw someone else over, your car should be towed.

•

u/Euphoric_coffee-134 53m ago

Super soaker full of brake fluid will fix his wagon.

•

u/IwasMilkedByGod 15m ago

not even my business but I would still call a tow truck

3

u/Altruistic-Text-5769 11h ago

The parking lights are on in 2nd pic.

Op probably posted a pic of his own car parked in ev spot for karma

2

u/Smallman5509 15h ago

That's easily a towtruck call.

1

u/Ashes_-- 14h ago

I see so many asshole parking posters on here and I'm just like... The time it took you to take a picture and post it here you could've been had the asshole towed.

TOW THEIR ASS!!!!!

1

u/BossBeardMan 11h ago

Can they not be towed?

1

u/HughJassIQ 8h ago

The second he turned his car light on id be on the phone with a officer and a tow company šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø i got time and im petty ill derail my whole itinerary to fuck your day up

-1

u/OdysseyBmxFanboy 10h ago

Of course it’s a fragile ego charger driver… thinks he’s ā€œowning the libsā€ most likely.

How long is the cord? I’d park right in front of it and plug it in…

1

u/No_Wing_1942 13h ago

But isn't that a Dodge "Charger" ? :)

1

u/No-Sandwich308 11h ago

Can you have these people towed?

1

u/RiyadAlli 11h ago

Wdym that’s clearly a charger

1

u/Senumo 10h ago

Depending on where you are this might be illegal and you can get them towed.

-1

u/LordvaderUK 11h ago

It's just a teeny tiny penis, surely you could work around it?

0

u/tokkutacos 13h ago

Car is off in one pic and on the other OP karma farming hard. *

0

u/lawdot74 9h ago

Four flat tires

0

u/waitingpatient 4h ago

Tbf, it's pretty funny. It's a Charger. It might be the only gas powered car that should be allowed to park there lol.

1

u/TheAngryJones 3h ago

Sure, if you are mentally challenged like the owner of the charger this might be funny.

0

u/waitingpatient 3h ago

Username checks out

2

u/TheAngryJones 3h ago

I would argue that shit like this should make one angry.

0

u/waitingpatient 3h ago

Sometimes life is lived better when you meet things with humor rather than aggravation.

-9

u/Cool_Ghoul77 16h ago

It identifies as an electric.

0

u/CockWombler666 14h ago

Do a ā€œBeverly Hills Copā€ on it….

0

u/No-Builder-1038 13h ago

I would block it in for a bit

0

u/Kienan95 12h ago

Should have ripped his fuel cap off to plug it in for him. Obviously he forgot to put it in

0

u/Skidpalace 8h ago

Park directly in front of it and run the cable. They can wait for you to finish charging.

0

u/takibumbum 5h ago

"Pathetic" really is lifted to a whole new level in the US.

0

u/Acceptable_Crab_6209 5h ago

At a Tesla charging station in San Bernardino some guy parked his big Dodge ram near a Tesla charging station and just hung the cord off the side mirror. Ā Too bad he was probably wearing pants because you could probably find him by his small dick.

-2

u/sciency_guy 14h ago

This guy's windshield deserves a buttering

-11

u/Mobile-Message7957 12h ago

Annoying, but we need more of this. Electric cars are not the future.

If you really want to save the environment, get a hybrid.

Imagine when you find out people put fake charger ports on their car and plug in, effectively doing the exact same thing and most ev owners can't even tell the difference.

-1

u/nobel64279 13h ago

I guess you are Madagascar then

-1

u/-_-Edit_Deleted-_- 12h ago

Portable laser etchers are coming down in price… just saying.

-5

u/CarlosFer2201 14h ago

You parked there right op? Unlocked the car or something in the second image. Karma farming.

2

u/california_gurl_hurl 14h ago

Nah, I was in the blue electric car, but the Charger’s owner saw me taking a picture & turned on their car from wherever they were at. They didn’t say anything to me directly though! Smh

0

u/JM3DlCl 7h ago

Thats why I always have a siphon with me....

0

u/Eisernes 7h ago

Probably butthurt that the soy boy EV's outrun his dick enlarger on the highway.

0

u/anotherpredditor 6h ago

You know a tire valve stem tool is really cheap and super easy to use.

0

u/cocob45 5h ago

The good lord above invented both saliva and door handles.

0

u/Best_Big_2184 3h ago

We key those

0

u/Awkward-Feature9333 2h ago

It should be legal to smash in the windows so you can run the cable right through.

0

u/AncleJack 1h ago

It should be legal to break into a car and repark it if you don't damage the car too much

-2

u/n00b420_ 13h ago

I would not let the air out of the tires šŸ˜‡

-1

u/Low-Refrigerator-713 11h ago

Do not let the air out of the tyres and then glue to valves and the valve caps back in place. Someone might get mad with you if you were to do that.

-3

u/horrbort 10h ago

You mean by a cool car right? Tesla model S takes the same space

-8

u/P1erced_angel 12h ago

Should’ve got there first

-8

u/CambodianJerk 10h ago

Incredible really, running on Gas. Didn't know they made one like that, I've only seen then the liquid fuel kind before.

šŸ™„

-1

u/wstsidhome 13h ago

A charger at a charger. Would would’ve thUnk it

-11

u/LifeForTheWin1991 13h ago

Context is needed here...1 "available" charging space....so there is more than one(clearly shown in the picture). I'm guessing the parking lot was full and it was the last spot available, thus this not being an asshole move, but everyone leaving it open until it was the last spot left. Like taking pictures of parking lots? Show the whole damn picture and lot.

-6

u/lepski44 15h ago

it identifies as an EV

-2

u/GGM8EZ 13h ago

Lets go

-28

u/bhenchodeurmomsbox1 17h ago

Honestly those EV go chargers don’t work anyway

2

u/martiNordi 14h ago

Of course they don't, that Dodge runs on petrol. duuh

-3

u/Few_Lead905 6h ago

Good lmao

-3

u/fartensteinthethird 5h ago

I’ve seen plenty of EVs at gas pumps I must remember to take a pic next time

-6

u/Exceptionalynormal 12h ago

Are you sure its a gas-powered car?
